It's normal for air cooled engines.

It's been a month I bought the Pulsar NS 160
Loving the beautiful sharp edges of it's body, the aggressive nature of the engine and how it sounds[emoji7]

However I am experiencing an issue with my motorcycle. When the engine heats up after riding let's say 10kms the tappet starts to be klinky and noisy.
I just had 1st service yesterday and asked about the issue and they said it's normal. But I don't think tappet should make noise so soon that too in a new vehicle. Any views regarding this?

It's an inherent issue with the Pulsars. The tappet tend to make noise on the new bikes from Bajaj. Just ride along and they should be fine. It's just the heat.

• Hi Friends,

I bought this Pulsar NS 160 BS6, almost a year back. It is an awesome bike, with sufficient power to ride in city and in highway around 80 km/hr speed.

I mostly rode in highway and cruise from 60 to 70 km/hr speed. In this speed range bike is stable even in cross winds. Bike gives confidence to ride at high speed say around 90 to 100, but it is not advisable.

Bike's exhaust sound was very good in initial days. As days passed, exhaust sound changed. But even today idling beat is very good.

I completed two free services, so far no issues in bike. Since I upgraded from 100cc commuter bike, i am vey much happy and thrilled with NS 160 performance in city as well as highway.
