I had worked in office side of a garage abroad, so had overseen often mechanic working there and had many discussions about many things like oil change, synthetic or regular oil and also engine flush. What I learned there is for a newer engine metal fragments may turn up during the break-in period. But, it will mix with oil and during the oil change, the engine will very much get rid of that. This is the main purpose of oil change during the first service itself for two and four wheelers even though after that we change the oil during the regular intervals of 2500/3000 for two wheelers and 10,000km for four wheelers.
Now, if you are using your vehicle daily, regularly and getting service done with oil change regularly then there is very slim chance of developing slush inside the engine. Because of your usage daily, the engine would keep the oil running and warm. The engine flush actually cleans up the slush developed over the time due to the mixed residue. For this process, they actually add engine flush before changing the oil and let the engine run idle for 15 minutes. So, engine flush doesn't add much value to oil change process until its driven more than few thousands of km. But, getting it done will not do harm either, it will just add to your bill.
