Re: TVS-NTorq 125 Ownership Thread
It was on a new scooter, and from speed 0 kmph onwards to approx. 20 kmph on a sudden acceleration there were substantial vibrations. Don't think it was air pressure.Originally posted by hymnz View PostIt could probably be bad air pressure in the tyres.

It depends on how many kms the oil has done and how old is the oil.Originally posted by THE LEGEND View PostMy 3rd service is on the way.. Is it recommended to change oil in every service?
It's ok if you get it done outside.Regards,

Re: TVS-NTorq 125 Ownership Thread
Hello, I am looking forward to buying ntorq in next few days. I had one doubt, Can anyone confirm if fuel lid shuts down with airtight seal. What about monsoon rains. Have you experienced water going in fuel tank?
I have this problem with my current bike (Pulsar 150). In every monsoon I have to drain my fuel tank. Thinking of buying scooter but worried about external fuel lid.
Thanks in advance.

Thanks, I have decided to go for it. I took a test ride and am impressed with the lower end of the engine. For home to railway station kind of last mile travel low and mid is more important for me. This bike is delivering on that front. Plus I liked the build quality.Originally posted by RANJITH PS View PostTill now I haven't experienced water going into the fuel tank.
However coming from Bajaj, I am a little concerned about going for another indian automobile company. Not sure if reliability and servicing will be at par with Japanese counterparts.

TVS is slightly better in quality than Bajaj to be honest on some fronts.Originally posted by Ishaan.karnik View PostThanks, I have decided to go for it. Plus TVS has been living majorly on scoots so they take scoot market seriously. If their sales figures are seen, they don't really sell more than Bajaj on bikes but generate sales of about 70-80% from gearless segment.Regards,

Re: TVS-NTorq 125 Ownership Thread
Post sales service of Honda has mixed reviews. Some says it's blows big time while others are happy with it. But most of them have negative which I feel is fine as Honda is too busy in sales that they don't have time for after sales.
I have 2 TVS vehicles in family & for past 12 years I don't have any problem with TVS service centre.

Re: TVS-NTorq 125 Ownership Thread
Service depends on Mechanic assigned actually. However, the load of work certainly affects the quality. Honda service centres are too busy! I had to wait 1 hour at least for my turn to have the service advisor fill up the form. Then, they ask you to come after 4 pm unless you can talk your way through them to get your vehicle's service done earlier. I had gone for my Grazia to get serviced 2 weeks back. I had specifically asked them to check mileage setting, rattling noise from the front fork, digital fuel gauge which drops a level from 5 bar to 2 straight etc. I live far from service centre so service manager agreed to get my vehicle in for the service early. I saw from waiting area that all he did was simply changed oil by parking on the side of a wall. Done. They even tried to charge extra Rs. 250 for lubrication in which they simply oil the switches and break. The oil cost for engine oil was Rs. 240. So imagine them ripping you off for few drops of oil and charge Rs. 250 for it. They don't have to bend down for it or open any screw.
I told them that no lubrication is done, and argued so they agreed to just charge me for oil. So, this is how Honda works and for my reason for selling my Grazia just yesterday. Good Scooter but terrible service waiting time and not properly done either.
TVS is better in sense of waiting time because if you pick a proper place of service, they will not be that busy as Honda and will listen to your problem and address it properly by giving it a good time right in front of you as I also own TVS Jupiter and that's how I get it done.
End of the day it's about how well they do it and your luck though. But, TVS service is better than Honda, no doubt about it.
