Just completed 15 days with the scooter.. Here are the things to note -

1. Definitely a head turner and attention grabber. Had about 50 people ask me at the traffic signals about the scooter and appreciated the design.
2. Balance of the scooter is AMAZING. Better than what TVS offers in the all metal Wego variant.
3. Seating has no stress on the back and the width is very calculated to seat a lean person and also a fat person comfortably.
4. Though leg room is very comfy, it's no place to keep any bag or even hang the helmet.
5. Full face helmet doesn't fit under the seat easily. Period. You have to forcibly close the seat. I however use Motocross helmet, so under the seat option is never available for scooters anyway.
6. Riding in Hyderabad in high traffic zones, the scooter averages around d 42 kmpl.
7. Hit the high speed of 108 kmph on a flat stretch. Experienced high speed riders can feel the vibrations after 100, so be careful.
8. Scooter skid on an oil patch down a slope and has scratches on the right "125" stickers. (Any idea where I can get new stickers)? Black area scratches are easily concealable with Camlin permanent black marker. It just fades into the matte finish.

Good points and good inputs for potential owners.
But, isn't it too early to hit that top speed in just 15 days?
No run-in mechanism mentioned by TVS?

It was only a one time try. I do follow the run-in mechanism at all possible times, but in mindless city traffic it's just too hard.

I ride in city. Not bumper to bumper traffic though. Full tank to full tank. I cover 60 kms a day. Full tank to full tank 50 kmpl average. I always try to touch atleast 95 when I can, lol..
Within a week ill b doing 2nd service.

Hi i have just bought a ntorq in gray colour and everything is great however when i lock the handle on the left side i have to slightly tilt the handle in order lock the handle this was not the case in my bike

Is it the case with all ntorq's or should i get it checked at the dealer

It's the design.. And it's better this way.. So don't worry about it.

I think so yes. Because, the handle turns extra 10 degrees on both sides compared to any other scooter and so normal lock would not align exactly at where the handle turning ends for ntorq.

It's better this way because having a bit of buffer space reduces the wear of the lock.

Guys I sold my zest 110 of 2000kms on odo to buy ntorq but I've been facing cold start issue with it.
If the scooter is cold it just refuses to start.
After at least 7-8 kicks it would start but refuse to go forward immediately.
Here in Bangalore the temperature these days hovers from 23-31 degrees during the day but even if i try to start the scooter in the afternoon, when it's warm, I still get this issue.
I get that carbureted vehicles need choke when cold but ntorq does not have choke like the Jupiter.
And neither does the zest110 have choke but did not have such an issue.
I never faced such an issue with the zest or my R3.

That could be due to Auto Choke.
I have a Pulsar 220 with Auto Choke and it works well due to lower temperatures whenever it is cold.
Get the idling set properly by the SVC and if it is an irritant, you can always disable the Auto Choke - at least that can be done on 220.

That could be due to Auto Choke.

As far as I know, auto choke is meant to start the scoot in cold conditions. Coming from my experience of Splendor's choke, it used to start instantly when applied.

I spoke to another friend of mine who has the same scooter, and he said that he has faced this issue once when he left the scooter untouched for 2 days. He rides it everyday and does not face this issue.

I ride very infrequently so I face it every time I start my Ntorq

Hi guys,
Greetings to all Ntorq current & future owners


I bought my sister a Scooty Zest last year & before that we had a 2007 Pep+.
The zest is an amazing scooter as it's very smooth & fuel efficient ( 48-53 in city tankful method ).
Now coming to the Cold start issue, I feel the Autochoke is battery triggered and one should use the button start whenever possible - Yes even in cold start conditions as it is designed for that sole purpose. Why I'm saying this is because , We faced a severe starting problem with the Pep+ when the battery went completely dry one day. The scooter came to life only after 15-20 kicks when ever left to idle for approximatly 4-6 hrs. So, a friend (my mechanic) suggested to replace the battery. Hence, as soon as we replaced the battery , it started in an instant, even kicker worked. Cold starts took a max of 3 kicks if at all. But button start works flawlessly.
So please use button start as far as possible for scooty / zest / NTorq, it is designed primarily for that purpose alone.
TVS introduced this autochoke in its first gen Scooty pep (4stroke) as the scooter was primarily targetted for school/college going girls ,young women etc... whow knew less about the duration of choke to be pulled and for easier starting conditions everytime.
So anyone having starting trouble with your scooty (pep/zest etc) please check your batteries after the fuel system , Spark plug & Airfilter.

I'm sure all these technicalities are applicable for the NTorq too...
For bikes too especially Fuel Injected I prefer to use Self start.

FYI : Pls check the auto choke in Scooty , it's powered via battery.

That's some good insight. I think then it might be a faulty choke switch. As the battery is new and not low. I mean I've had experience with old batteries which didn't have the juice.

This scooter doesn't look good with accessories but it's a requirement for the crowded places to have crash guards. so here is a video for same.

People who ran this scooter for long, can u please tell me the level of vibrations in this scoot?
I took the test ride of it and I found it bit vibey compared to access 125.
