      It’s a dummy engine immobilizer ( key ) indicator.

I’ve noticed a strange thing today. High beam indicator was blinking continuously while on low beam. What’s the issue? High beam and pass light works fine though.
Also, when I pull in the clutch @ 2nd gear the engine revs slightly increase and decrease continuously... I don’t know how to explain. Uneven fueling maybe? Did anyone ever face this problem?
It’s like how an inline 4 sounds at idle (vroom VROOM vroom VROOM) Can’t visit svc rn, you know why. ( 160 4v BS6- clocked 350km )

        3. Why should I buy this over the other bikes in this segment? What other bikes should I consider, if at all?

        Thanks a lot!
        1. No idea, never had a pillion rider.

        2. City=50-55, Highways = (<95kmph) 70-74, (>99kmph) 20.
I would also like to mention that i had a carb variant which I adjusted to a lowest RPM point, just barely above the point of engine stops beating. No gain without sacrifice. Here I sacrificed 'sudden throttle' to have the lowest RPM. Sudden throttle turns off the engine.

        3. You will not get a better deal for the money with anything in this segment than RTR 160 4V. Max speed = 113 and feels very stable and confident. Bulkier look & feel than Gixxer 250. Very comfortable in city & highways. No hot air on legs. Smooth engine & clutch feel. Unbeatable stock exhaust sound! Totally different from previous Appaches which were vibrating from everywhere and horrible parts quality. This new 4V models are just awesome and build well.

If you need a little better performer, go for RTR 200 4V. Because with a 160cc engine, after a while you might crave for more power which 160cc will never satisfy you.

To stick with your question, I would say, no other is equal to RTR 160 4V in this segment. Buy it and you will not regret your decision.

The manual is for the BS4 version. They might have done changes to the Harness which will be shown only in the revision version.

Why do you want to find that pink wire/neutral? Diagram says it's connected to the headlamp control unit - you can also start there. If you neutral light is not working, can be bad gearbox sensor too.

Yes they really changed a lot...
My Neutral LED working good... But I've to attach a gear Indicator to it...
Because of the 1 down 4 up... The neutral wire is required for indicate proper Gear.

I also checked the the voltages, from the LCD wires... Changing gear to/from Neutral, turn Indicator, does not change any voltage in any wire...!!!!

I was following this video... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AEsuMOa3k94&t=508s

Here, Neutral wire is Blue... Still No Blue wire in my bike...!!
              Totally stuck...!!!

Also, I find a 3x Connector near engine (thanks to the service boy) that maybe connected to the "N" LED... Detaching that, "N" LED doesn't work.
But, that output always high... Gear Indicator stuck at "0"...!!

Yes that's maybe a dummy immobilizer... I tried with a wire... Bike Powered on without key... (-_-)

On mine, I think there are some problem in engine...
After long ride, when engine gets hotter, the sound raises & keep up & down even on Neutral... Sometimes engine stops at low speed...!!
Also, Very rarely, but bike start moving on Neutral, without throttle...

1st service center is so awful... Have to visit another...

I can't believe BS6 didn't come with a GPI whereas they gave the BS4 Fi that useful feature. What about the white wire with green tracer from the speedometer unit - try that and see?

I checked every connection... No voltage changes... I forgot to take notes... Also, on BS6, It's very hard to open that connector...!!

I think they remove it from "160 4V BS6" only...!!!

Anyway, thank god I didn't bought those Indicators... I made one, that doesn't work...

Beside, I've just examined the neutral connection voltage (near the engine), And I amazed, that the out voltage actually changes at every gear...!!!! Like GPI sensor....
I don't know why the hell they didn't put it on Display...!!! (wish a 200 4v BS6 LCD supports on 160)

Anyway, this gear voltage actually best for my project...

                    Also, thanks...

                        Hi Buddies,

                        I'm located in Coimbatore.

I've went to service center ( Lotus TVS , TV Samy road ,Rs Puram, Coimbatore) two weeks back to get my bike serviced after the lock down lifted.

I've had starting problems on my bike ever since first service. This time though I strictly mentioned I need this to be resolved which is self start was not working properly. When the service is done it worked somehow there alone. After the service I'm still facing the same issue , the bike won't start up "without using some amount of throttle".

It sucks because a brand new 1.x year old bike shouldn't be giving these problems. At traffic after engine off and turn it back on after green signal, if you try to crack without opening the throttle bike should start . Mine doesn't.

The ASC guy says " usually open throttle a bit" as it acts like a choke. ? Really ?

The TVS manual clearly states "THROTTLE SHOULDN'T BE OPENED WHEN CRANKING THE BIKE" .However there's one more thing happened was, I had my documents on a pouch under the seat. They took it off while washing and they've lost my documents. When I call them to en-quire literally no care. No response. The guy speaks careless.

After dialing 6 times he picks up and says he'll check.

Does anyone recommend a better ASC in Coimbatore ? As far as i've checked on the AOG Group, people are recommending the Mettupalayam Lotus branch and a specific mechanic name.

                        Thanks & Regards

Brother, the documents always get misplaced. It the duty and risk of the owner to take out stuff from the bike when giving it for service. Launch an FIR of documents lost and then get thr duplicates.

Hey guys... an old member of xbhp !!! Recently I have been facing a issue with the chain noise which sounds like it is brushing up with chain cover but thats not the case....tried every lube or chain spray but neither worked. Secondly there is some noise coming from the head. Sound is like the keys hitting each other when bike vibrates... That 'payal' sounds when someones walking around... It is slightly low noise but addressable. Any guess what are these??

                              Hello guys.
I have a fused headlight bulb after around 24000 KMS. The high beam works fine but the low beam suddenly gave up the ghost this morning.
Anyways, I am looking for a replacement bulb and would appreciate some suggestions for a good bulb ( LED might also work ) which has better light throw than the stock headlight bulb.
bike is a bs4 model with 30/35 watt bulb.

PS- the bike is functioning smooth with only one major replacement of the bike exhaust pipe and silencer( that too under warranty). Its been 2 years since i use motul 7100 and i really happy with the bike's performance.

Please provide insight for a good headlight bulb replacement, Rough cost estimate would go a long way

                              cheers

Is the chain slackness under spec? The problem you are explaining can be related to TOO TIGHT or TOO LOOSE chain.

I would also suspect worn out sprockets or chain ( provided 20K+ kms)

lastly, tappet adjustment or timing chain might need some adjustment ( this is usually not the case )

Could you mention the reason why exhaust pipe and silencer were replaced, because mine also replaced at around 10K Kms (BS4 2018 model). Mine was replaced to stop a metallic vibrating sound from near the cylinder at the beginning of exhaust pipe. In the above post what he mentioned also sounded similar. Thats why i asked
