      Hello every one
I have the double disc carb BS4 model, bike is running well but in heavy traffic it lacks the bottom end torque, and i miss the pulsar 150(my previous bike) grunt.
Is there any way to increase the bottom end torque of the bike? Eg; changing the carb or something like that.

After shifting to shell advance ultra my gearshifts became much smoother and pickup incresed but i dont know why engine heats very quickly like with 10 kms of travelling engine heating is unbearable. I got doubt about the oil as it is original or not i checked the oil its the original shell advance ultra oil but why my bike is overheating and giving less mileage????
I also checked all the causes of engine heating like clutch free play, idling rpm of the bike is 1200. My bikes age is 19 months its not a new engine to be over heated then why my engine is overheating too much with smooth gear shifts????
Your bike is fine. Even I’m facing the same engine heat after I changed from Motul to shell. My friends also reporting the same about the heating. For it is fine. Because, we have an oil cooler. Probably it could be the oils property. And 1200 rpm is actual level. Check your owners manual. Idling range is 1500 +_ 200

Thank you bro for the reply.
What do you think does this shell oil can manage the bike engine parts safe as it is overheating??And what is your opinion and difference in motul 7100 and shell advance ultra engine oil, according to you which is better for 160 4v engine??

It can. It’s not shell engine oil makes your engine hotter. Motul withstand heat better.

In my experience, with Motul oil my engine feels free in highway rides where I could do 100+ kmph with less vibes, clutch feels so good. But The level of engine oil needs to be checked because after a while oil level gets reduced and that’s a common fact. Also Motul requires engine warm up so that the oil gets hotter and flows easily in mornings.

Shell, I have experienced slick gear shifts. Doesn’t require engine warm up. Felt very good in stop and go traffic. No change in level of oil.

Both the oil performed well with my engine. Except the fact Motul oil evaporates and hotter engine with shell than Motul.

I recommend both the products. Each have there own advantages and disadvantages.

If you’re a guy who venture bikes power at the red line , then go for Motul. Here the engine won’t be straining.

If you’re a guy who moves in city traffic, go with shell. Here, gear shifting will be easier.

                  Hey guys!!
Few weeks earlier i mentioned about white smoke emitting from my exhaust and told about new piston cylinder assembly will be fitted.
After assembling new piston cylinder set, white smoke is still emitted.
Now service center says that they will change piston cylinder set and valve head assembly.
I have just completed 10000 kms.
This is 4th time my bike will be placed under warranty. All these problems started after 5000 kms.

Have you checked the engine oil level. If engine oil level is low or reduced, then either the engine head gasket or piston rings is the culprit.

Yes sir. The level decreases frequently.
The oil is also leaking between cylinder block and head.
I have mentioned this to ASC but still they are not able to solve problems.

                        Then
They have to change the entire block, piston and head. Demand them to change or leave your bike there and send a mail to, stating your issue.

Install a bigger rear sprocket. FYI, Hornet has 47 teeth rear sprocket which is i think, biggest in segment. You can also try 46teeth rear sprocket from fz 25. Also you can install 14 teeth front sprocket from Pulsar 220 it'll increase the low end torque.

Installing a bigger front sprocket increases the top speed but reduce acceleration (low end torque). Installing a bigger rear sprocket do the reverse. It increase the low end torque but reduced top speed.

RTR 160 comes with 13 teeth front sprocket. But I have no idea about the rear. RTR 180’s rear sprocket,Have more number of teeth. But front sprocket, it’ll be 14 teeth.
