Re: TVS Apache RTR 160 4V Ownership Experience
Don't do it. Just ride the bike as you'll do it naturally. You can go till 5k rpm. Just don't over-rev it. Baby caring is as worse as harsh riding. One of my friends owns a Unicorn 150. The showroom guys told him to stay under 40 kmph for the first 1000 kms and he did exactly the same. Never ever exceeded 40 kmph for the first 1000 kms. Now he's done 4000 kms but says the bike feels harsh and stressed past 60 kmph.Originally posted by Aswinlogi View Post

Ok I'll increase the RPM indicator to 4K and will do a speed run possibly after few days to 80 Kmph. [emoji106]Originally posted by ayrus View PostDon't do it. Okayish windshield [emoji106]Originally posted by Aswinlogi View PostAs of now I am strictly following the 3K RPM rev limit mode !!
Still I am in wonder , as I was able reach 40-45 kmph @ 3K RPM at top gear !!
I've installed the WINDSHIELD which comes with the Apache 200 4v (v2) and its a direct fit for all Apache 160,200 models.
It costs around 200 bucks something.

Re: TVS Apache RTR 160 4V Ownership Experience
Yes, one pipe carries hot engine oil from the engine to the oil cooler and there the oil gets cooled and then again it's sent back to engine via another pipe, thus makes the engine cooler, also front panels on the tank of rtr also helps in directing outside air to the engine for maximum engine cooling. In short, rtr is a brilliant motorcycle [emoji106]Originally posted by Aswinlogi View PostOh yeah , I think pulsar 220s also having similar like these as they too oil cooled ones !!!

Check the vibrations with another Hornet.Originally posted by #bpk View PostI think Same thing has happened with me also, now i ride normally, i rode upto 50kmph in the first 1000 kilometers, bdw i own 2018 hornet abs .
Drain the oil. Fill a mineral oil (available for Rs.300) also change the oil filter. Change to whatever oil you want after 1000 kms with this oil. Ride in low gear. Maintain 4-5k rpm; neither go high nor below. Then take the bike to the highways and maintain 80 kmph. Accelerate gradually to 100 kmph and come back to 70-80 kmph. Do this for 2 weeks. If you feel you're stressing the bike too much, then come down a bit.
If oil change is due in the 2nd service, try this after the 2nd service.Last edited by ayrus; 10-14-2018, 12:05 AM.
