*And I've seen a slipper clutch from the Apache 200 is a direct fit to 160 4v and it costs around 2.5K bucks !!
    Is it worthy ?
That sounds like a good idea but is the clutch cover same, so as to accomodate extra parts.

      Yeah everything is same!!

      Ditto from the Apache 200 4v !
I hope only abs, slipper clutch and few parts and performance figures changes in 160 4v !

Remaining all are same , I've found a YouTuber posting videos mostly on Apache 200 and they are pretty good !

If done correctly, it will actually increase clutch life as one is no longer going to dis-engage (and engage) clutch frequently.

They may look similar but is the primary reduction ratio the same, i.e., the number of teeth on the primary gear and no. of teeth on clutch?

        For 200 4v, it is 2.818.

For 160 4v, it should be mentioned in the last few pages of the owner's manual. If this is same and the diameter of the clutch basket/gear the same, the swap can be done.

Can you/others post the last pages of the manual if possible, the specs page, TIA.

IDK whether the ratios are same , but the clutch box and the diameter are the same !!

                    Difficult to do the swap . 200 4V - it is 2.818.

But I feel the clutch case is the same. The 200 4v has 6 clutch plates (or pressure plates – it's either of the two) while the RTR 160 and 180 have 5. But I don't know what the 160 4v has. So if it is 6, the slipper clutch installation is entirely possible.

Yup , clutch case is same indeed !

Just asked whether it's possible or not , I hope ASC mechanic may know some more info reg. this .

I didn't conclude it was impossible, I said it is difficult on the paper (2.818 vs 3.095). Unless, one opens and counts the number of teeth and measure the diameter, we can't conclude. Both the clutches might be of the same diameter as I too feel the bottom-end of the engine is the same.

If the number of teeth on the basket is same, diameter same - then 200 4v/160 4v only differ with respect to the number of teeth on primary gear of crank. If this is the case, it is very easy to do the swap.

The SVC guy will say such and such is not recommended, blah blah. Another easy way to find out is to see the part numbers of the clutch baskets - if 200 and 160 4v share the same part number, it's the same part.

One of you can check the catalogue in the stores next time you go for service - usually they allow us to see that. Take a peek and do let us know !
