Someone mentioned that it touches around 80kmph at 6500rpm, so it could reach the ton at around 7000-7500rpm.
Completely agreed on ayrus sayings, the Speeds aren't about the CC of engines BTW it's all about the BHP(PS) or KW (whatever it be)produced totally!!

Well the new Apache 4v gets 16.5 BHP which is much nearer to the horses of CBR 150 & R15 (V1,V2) for sure.
To add up an experimental note for you, I've did 110+ kmph with a pillion rider (no issues) without hazzle . Even though this beast can do more, I haven't pushed it further.

*You may think it's speedo error , I am sure it's not and will post the gps speeds ASAP.

I'm not saying the bike can't do 100kmph.

I am talking about cruising speed, ie, a speed at which the engine isn't stressed. Doing 110kmph is one thing, but maintaining it for long distances is a completely different thing.

At 8k RPM the bike is making its maximum power, and IMO it isn't the RPM to hold over long distances. To each his own I guess.

There will be some speedo error, you can't avoid that. My FZ25 does 100kmph at 6500rpm, but GPS shows it to be 94-95kmph.

The RTR twins are indeed great bikes with smooth engines and are very engaging to ride. I only wish that they made it slightly roomier.

Yeah I too faced cold start issues atfirst, but after find myself to start the bike without trouble.

*Just use a kick start (which is recommended during morning starts and this ensures a good life of kicker )and then deliberately give throttle acceleration to 2K-3K RPMs for atleast 20-30 secs (only in the mornings as the engine tends to cold Start).

*Or after switching the fuel knob ,use a choke and then electric starter within few secs !! (Don't delay the choke and starting time) .
By this method I've found hassle free starts [emoji1360].

PS: DON'T PULL THE CHOKE FOR LONG DURATION AS ENGINE WON'T CRANKUP SOON (due to High overflow of PETROL).

Cheers,
Ride safe.

To be honest - so far within the usual routes in and around city I havent been able to test the ideal cruising speed which you can maintain for say more than 15 mins at a stretch. Occasional bursts up to 90 KMPH didnt seem to stress the engine and at that speed RPM was 6500-7000. I know your question is still unanswered, but around here it is difficult to find roads where you can maintain 90+ KMPH for more than couple of minute at a stretch.

I just did a speedrun on my friend's bike and not a highway ride. So I cannot comment much on the cruising speed aspect. With a pillion, it was able to do 80 kmph effortlessly and without that guy shouting at me to slow down, I think I could've gone 90 kmph. Solo, it should be definitely comfortable at 90 kmph. Someone here mentioned that 8k rpm is a bit high but I don't know – the bike didn't feel much stressed.

So, from my short experience, 80 kmph with a pillion and 90 kmph solo must come easily and could me maintained.

Yes that was me. This bike should be able to maintain 85-90kmph with ease.

But cruising at 8k RPM when the maximum power is produced at that RPM is a bit too much IMO.

You say 8k rpm as such is too much or it is too much because it is the power peak??

It's too much as it's the power peak. This is just my opinion though.

A good cruising RPM maybe between 5500-7000rpm. This RPM range will give better fuel economy, a less stressed/calmer engine, room for quick overtakes and possibly higher engine life. Of course, top speed runs or short bursts of higher speeds are fine. Basically try to stay in the power band.

Guys does anyone remember how much you paid for the first free service?
I hope tru4 oil is being used and it costs around 700 rs.

Or any other oil you'd used ? Quick reply would be helpful!!

Thanks
