Re: TVS Apache RTR 160 4V Ownership Experience
No idea but the tank of 200 4v heats up even when waiting in the traffic signals if the sun is perpendicular to my bike. But it is nothing bothersome and cools down as soon as I start riding the bike.Originally posted by chidafn View Post

Re: TVS Apache RTR 160 4V Ownership Experience
I have applied 3M paint protection film to some parts of the fuel tank in my 160 4v. Mainly to prevent scratches, but I dont think it will do much to protect from sunlight. Since its very costly its applied only on the extended parts of tank shroud and near the seat where you usually apply tank pad. This costed me around 1500/-sigpicOm Yamahaya Namaha...praise the lord!

Always Use bike's recommended pressureOriginally posted by San1234 View PostGuys what is pressure of the tyres that is to be filled. On the bike it's written as 26,30 where as the svc are telling me to fill 26 36. Also are all you using tvs fully synthetic oil?
25 front
30/32 rear (psi).Last edited by Aswinlogi; 11-23-2018, 01:48 PM.

Re: TVS Apache RTR 160 4V Ownership Experience
It's fully carbon fibre ,the main fuel tank(12L) is present inside and already evaporation controlled. No signs of heat experience on my bike yet [emoji111]️. Though squeaking brakes is common in dust filled INDIAN roads LOL!!Originally posted by chidafn View PostHey guys, have any one noticed that plastic parts like tank get heated up when kept under direct sun? I have Black colored bike. Can any other owners confirm this?

Re: TVS Apache RTR 160 4V Ownership Experience
Strange how I never noticed it before, until yesterday when I took a test ride of the RTR 160. And inspite of being heavier than Gixxer and FZ, it doesn't feel heavy. Lacks the bite of the radial MRF's used on Gixxers though. I didn't test ride the model with the Pirelli's. Just the Carb model with rear drum brake.Originally posted by Zapps View PostCommon parts are used to reduce costs.[My Motorcycles]

Pirelli variants are stopped now if I'm right. The Remoras are good enough for regular usage. The Pirelli variant costed about 7-8k above the normal variant and for that price, you'd have bought aftermarket Pirelli tyres. Pirellis were offered only in the 200 4v and not the 160 4v though.Originally posted by Bismaya View PostStrange how I never noticed it before, until yesterday when I took a test ride of the RTR 160. The brakes do not offer a very good initial bite (even the Aprilia SR150 offers a better initial bite) but once you pull the lever harder, it is very progressive and offers tons of feel. After riding this bike, all other brakes feel very wooden though some do offer slightly better braking performance.

I didn't feel much difference between the brakes on the this bike and the Pulsars (not sure what TVS uses). The Missing brakes on Hondas have a different feel. And the Bybes on Gixxer and FZs have a similar feel, although Gixxer has more bite.Originally posted by ayrus View PostPirelli variants are stopped now if I'm right. TVS uses their own brakes on all bikes except the RR310 (BYBRE).Originally posted by Bismaya View PostI didn't feel much difference between the brakes on the this bike and the Pulsars (not sure what TVS uses). Re: TVS Apache RTR 160 4V Ownership Experience
I find the 160 4v brakes to be more stable and confidence inspiring. I've never driven a Hornet ABS, so my observation is based upon the old 2016-non ABS variant.Originally posted by #bpk View PostHow's hornets brake in comparison to 160 4v according to you
A bit of offtopic here but are there any ABS variant of sub 200cc bikes that come with a rear drum brake (without disc; front ABS)? Hornet is the only one I can think of. I sincerely hope that the 160 4v is launched with a rear drum and Front ABS combination.[My Motorcycles]
