I used to hear it in my uncle's 11 year old Victor but only after it aged a lot. Startled at how it's happening on my 2 day old Apache. Since I'm a bit of a noob on this subject, any insight would be much appreciated. TIA.
Congratulations on your new bike .

Your query sounds fishy nevertheless to be heard from a new engine !!! If its not registered yet ?? Just replace it with a new one.

It's ok, what did the ASC fellows said about the issue? I hope so if the combustion doesn't takes place correctly it could end up like this, is the carb needs any tuning?

PS : The ASC guys should service our bike and don't hesitate to ask them !!! Be patient and get the job done.

I just took it to the ASC today to adjust the idle RPM, maybe they did something to the carb. I have a feeling that the noise started coming out post that adjustment. Have to take it back on Monday. Anyway, thanks mate.

What you are experiencing is called 'decel pop'. It is caused due to a lean or rich carb setting but a lean setting is more likely. It is won't usually cause any issue but get it fixed as soon as possible.

160 4v is better in each and every aspect. #bpk will explain why.

Buy 160 4v for it's amazing engine smoothness, superior gearbox, better build quality+ parts quality, better technology, softer suspension setup specially designed for indian roads ( they're sourced from KYB ) and above all unmatched riding satisfaction while travelling comfortably with pillion. Also, the paint quality is comparable to RR 310, very high quality paintjob.Click image for larger version

Yes, i cruise effortlessly in 80 to 90 kmph with my 14.9bhp hornet, whereas 16.5 bhp apache will take less efforts. Remember 1604v is the most powerful air cooled motorcycle in india.
