I booked the carb variant. My question is no where related to Bluetooth.

Re: TVS Apache RTR 160 4V Ownership Experience
Yeah I think it's working , but I am not pretty sure. (Though you need to check it manually)Originally posted by anmol163 View PostSo I have completed a week with my Apache 160 4V..
Completed a total of around 330km till now (City+Highway).
Was surprised to see it gave me a mileage of around 40+ before the first service itself. Clocked 194km with 7 liter of petrol (including 2.5 reserve capacity), before getting into reserve. As my first service is still due, i have been riding it around 50-60 kmph. Accidentally touched 71 once as i went with the flow a bit.
Can someone confirm please if their reserve fuel warning indicator worked or not, as it did not blink in my case.
Cheers
If the fuel indicator shows 1 bar then your bike is in RESERVE CAPACITY(~2 L ) you can drive for around 80 Kms , that's what I 've found !!!

Congratulations brotherOriginally posted by anmol163 View PostHi Everyone.
I have got my Apache RTR 160 4V (Carburetor version - Dual Disc - Single Channel ABS in red colour) on 11th of March. Done with 180 km so far.
Found this thread to be really helpful. As this is the first time I have bought myself something worth this much (it is my first bike – self bought), I am really looking forward to learn a lot from you guys through this thread.
Cheers !!!

Re: TVS Apache RTR 160 4V Ownership Experience
Check for any physical damage like scratch on paint , any oil leakage from oil filter area, compress both front and rear shock absorbers to detect any unusual sound coming from them, check switches and operate them, check alignment of rear mudguard with respect to centre of rear wheel, start the vehicle and notice the engine sound and after that buy a can of tvs chain lube from svc and perform " puja" and send me sweets [emoji7][emoji7][emoji4][emoji4]Originally posted by hariharan618 View PostHi I'm taking my 1604v carb+abs delivery tomorrow. What are the things I should check?

Today i got a call from the dealer saying manufacturing of FI ABS version of 160 4v has not yet started. They are telling this after 25 days of me booking the bike with them . I'm confused right now.
Tell me this guys, can we change the headlamp bulb(35/35W HS1 bulb) of Carb variant to (60/55W H4 bulb available in FI Variant) ?
Also pls let me know what i would be missing in the digital meter if i'm going with Carb variant of 160 4v.

Also the bike that they gave me was the carb single disk variant and it was full of dust. They didn't even wipe the seat before I sat on it. I was looking at the horrible dust all over the test bike, they didn't give a shit. I need to know the best showroom as well as the better service place in Coimbatore. Between I got the price quote for the efi+abs variant, posted a picture below. It's around ₹1.3 lakh. [ATTACH]248020[/ATTACH]

Re: TVS Apache RTR 160 4V Ownership Experience
The fi version has a gear position indicator with white back light console and has a lap timer. Everything else is same as the carb variant.
TLDR: I booked the carb variant as tvs Svc doesn't know to service fi bikes.Originally posted by dhivakar17 View PostToday i got a call from the dealer saying manufacturing of FI ABS version of 160 4v has not yet started. If they say the 160 4v ABS+FI production has not started, it is nothing but a big fat lie.Originally posted by dhivakar17 View PostToday i got a call from the dealer saying manufacturing of FI ABS version of 160 4v has not yet started. The 60/55W bulb was tried by a guy but it did not work, even though the socket is compatible. Try your luck maybe.

I phoned another dealer and he too says ABS+FI would take 1 or 2 months more due to some issues he is not aware of.
