  • Re: TVS Apache RTR 160 4V Ownership Experience

Got my service done and it was expensive. But I am happy with the service. The noise from my rear suspension is gone and the headlight has been calibrated. Took up the Teflon coating.

Did you try the carb setting. Did it help.

It is not teflon coating. It is some polish kind of thing but not teflon.

There must be no charges except for the oil and oil filter cost. The prices quoted under the heading labour are ridiculous. Send a complaint to TVS with a copy of the bill.

He just changed the idle setting. You can set the carb by yourself.

What the hell is this !!! [emoji33][emoji35][emoji34]

How come those stupid ASC charge you for Nitrogen and chain spray as
              Rs. 116+236 ??

If I 'd been there, I would've fought with those thieves for sure !!!

ps: Don't go service there ,as they are money looters buddy. TVS tru spray costs around 75 rs only and I fill N2 for both tyres by paying Rs.5 at petrol bunks !!

                  https://www.tvsmotor.com/contact-us

This must help you. Call the number or send an email. They'll ask for your details (name, phone number, email) and bike details (registration number, frame number) and showroom details. Give those details and explain the amount you have been charged.

I suggest that you send an email with a complaint and pics of the service bill.

Why not once go to the showroom and ask for an explanation for the prices mentioned?

                      Some pointers:
Why the chain lube costs 236 bucks. Even a big can of chain lube is cheaper.
What is battery terminal jelly and what is the need to use it. Why it costs 118 bucks.
Why does nitrogen cause 118 bucks when petrol pumps fill for 5-10 bucks.

If you don't get a satisfactory response, tell them you'll send a mail to TVS.

But mailing/ calling to TVS queries section won't be much helpful as those stupids will just ignore you !!

No. You get good response from them. It may take a 2-3 days but they respond positively 99% of the time.

Yeah as we all know, changing the Engine oil voids warranty ! So it's upto you ,but few are changing the oil other than TVS during the warranty period .
