Re: TVS Apache RTR 160 4V Ownership Experience
They don't fit properly on the headlight assembly. And if you somehow manage to fix it the complete show of the bike goes off. My opinionOriginally posted by Warwolf View PostAnyone Tried LED indicators on 1604V?

Hey Congratulations!! I too am on the prowl for a new bike and getting confused between the FI & carb versions. Can you share your reasons for going with FI over carb version. Thanks in advance.Originally posted by dhivakar17 View PostHey Guys,

Re: TVS Apache RTR 160 4V Ownership Experience
In my opinion carb is pretty good unless you plan on taking your bike on high altitudes and don't mind the occasional cold start issues. Eventually all the bikes will be fi so your next upgrade will be fi. Fi may give you a better millage but at the flip side the cost of repair will be high. But don't compromise on abs.Originally posted by redearth View PostHey Congratulations!! I too am on the prowl for a new bike and getting confused between the FI & carb versions. Hope this helps. Ride like there is no tomorrow... Cheers

Going for FI version will give youOriginally posted by redearth View PostHey Congratulations!! I too am on the prowl for a new bike and getting confused between the FI & carb versions. Can you share your reasons for going with FI over carb version. Thanks in advance.
1) better mileage
2) better throttle response
3) on 160 4v, FI version comes with 55W headlamp unit and white backlit console which gives additional gear position indicator. Power figures are marginally higher than Carb.
But the flipside as mentioned by everyone is service personnel trained to deal with FI bikes are very few and replacing fuel injector is costlier than replacing Carb.
I'm hoping this situation regarding service personnel will improve once BS6 norms come in as all bikes should be FI. If you are going for FI, choose a good dealer and check personally if they have trained personnel and required service kit to treat FI bikes.
