Re: TVS Apache RTR 160 4V Ownership Experience

Thanks for posting your 2nd service experience. I will definitely check the engine oil level myself before taking for second service. If the oil touches top level mark in dip stick when bike is on center stand after being off for a couple of hours, there would be no need to top up.

I checked my mileage after first service using reserve to reserve method with 1L fuel and it is apprx. 35 Kmpl. Bike has run around 700 kms so far. My weight is 76 kgs and its mostly city riding with max speed 60 Kmph. I dont know what to expect whether mileage will increase or decrease as more kms are run. But TBH a bit disappointed for now. I did my research before purchasing the bike and have seen several videos on Youtube showing 45+ Kmpl

Can't we ask mechanic to retune the carb to get better mileage figures?

Carb is fine i believe. We can say that somewhat by looking at idle rpms in cold, warm and hot engine conditions

The FZ/S V2 FI shows atleast 45 if ridden sensibly in the city.

Same as with Apache 160 4v as well so who wins the battle of mileages.

The v2 is dishing out 52kmpl going by tank full method with full on thrashing even before the 1st service.

Re: TVS Apache RTR 160 4V Ownership Experience

Hi.. I am planning to buy Apache RTR 160 4V dual disc variant.. I have few questions. Can anyone from here help me.
                    1. How is the paint quality?
                    2. Is the bike stiff while riding on uneven roads?
                    3. Any chain sprocket issue like making noise?
                    4. How is the pillion rider comfort in one hour city traffic?
                    5. Mileage. I am expecting atleast 45kmpl

                    Thanks

Do test drive it's competition before making any final decision.

V2 is mileage king , after that hornet is most fuel efficient, i got 48kmpl before 1st servicing.

Mostly my driving experience is with pillion driver which i am getting 35 exact now after 1st service so i think if single rider test is done, Apache can give around 45 and above. And coming to FZ v2, my friend who got it in jan after his 5th service, he said to have mileage around 40 with pillion on and hornet i drove, i observed 42 around in city driving without pillion.

We cant exactly compare the mileages though as it depends on once driving and tuning. But lets hope we get most of it.

Thats great, even 110/125 cc's are not giving that much des days in cities. I think good bike maintenance is the key.
