It'll be expensive than the abs model, depends on the manufacturer,if tvs desires to offer abs for non abs model it'll be good.Originally posted by RebellionRiderRTR View PostOkay. Yeah, safety is more important, abs saved me thrice from accident. Also from upcoming year, every 150cc segment bike will get abs, and non abs bikes resale value will be low .Originally posted by RebellionRiderRTR View PostYeah as we see abs in the techo meter whenever we turn on so expecting abs sooner from tvs and if tvs offer abs on non abs dn i ll go for it for sure.

Re: TVS Apache RTR 160 4V Ownership Experience
Hi Guys,
2nd Service review
Things went smooth, got it done but here comes the new issues
1. Gear indicator - Gear sensor failing when in neutral, part not available in SVC- waiting period 10 to 15 days, whattt
2. Engine heat - Still the same but svc claims its under optimal but i m sure my summer days going to be more hottie.
3. Oil top up - I checked oil level and i claimed the same for earlier mentioned 100 rs topup charge so got it to 28rs
But
Bike is now more smoother, runs more quicker and wheel are all softened up. Ride feels great
Bike still looks and feels stunning and i m expecting increase in mileage as well.
So my second service cost has been 28rs compared to my 1st service cost from 338rs + 440 for teflon coating (3 sittings)Safe ride,

Re: TVS Apache RTR 160 4V Ownership Experience
Did the neutral gear indicator fail during service? Its possible due to the high pressure washing they do without much care. Otherwise its too early for such stuff to fail. Anyway I think warranty will cover your expenses.
Good to know bike is smoother after second service. I didnt notice any change after first service. I dont mean to say bike is not smooth now..It is very smooth when reeevvingg up (better than a new Yamaha FZ that i test rode once), but revving down is not that great. It seems the bike has some "rev-hang" (<p align="center">Rev hang and ways of eliminating it) which spoils the fun when doing quick shifts zipping through city traffic. Can other owners share their experience on this please..sigpicOm Yamahaya Namaha...praise the lord!

I already had issue earlier with the false neutrals and neutrals gear indicator not emitting but i thought it would clear in first service and when i got bike after service, first thing i observed was Neutral gear indicator not emitting.
Coming to downshift, yes i see the downshifting is hard, sometimes it wont take the gear shift unless we move the wheel or revv the machine but i think its a gear shiftier issue but surprising sometimes it works remarkable.Safe ride,

Re: TVS Apache RTR 160 4V Ownership Experience
Yeah I get the problem you meant by difficult downshifts, but its common among 5 speed bikes. Its like you do an emergency braking when in 5th gear and try to quickly move down to say 2nd gear, but you cannot and it takes a few more seconds than you would like.
What I am referring to as rev-hang is when you close the throttle to shift to higher gear, say 4th to 5th the engine RPM doesnt fall as quickly as u want for a quick and smooth shift. Of all the reviews I heard or watched on the bike, the only one which mentions this is our own Xbhp road test review. It says "The throttle responds to the inputs with eagerness. It does the same when you close the throttle which makes me want to say that the transition between open/close throttle could have been better."Last edited by rakeshchn; 09-06-2018, 04:54 PM.sigpicOm Yamahaya Namaha...praise the lord!

Re: TVS Apache RTR 160 4V Ownership Experience
Yeah, but its opposite to me like when i change 5th to 4th the rev hang is happening, to see a fall in rpm its taking time but my gear shift up is fine as my revv falls back immediately and i am able to change the gear to next. i did do drags with the bike if i had any such issue i would have noticed.Originally posted by rakeshchn View PostYeah I get the problem you meant by difficult downshifts, but its common among 5 speed bikes.
