Brake grabbing even after releasing the brake lever means we have a faulty master cylinder piston that's jamming up during brake operation and or caliper pistons that aren't retracting as they normally should. It's imperative that you get it checked as this can mean sudden grabbing of brakes when you least expect and can cause a crash. Start off with inspecting your master cylinder, fluid and caliper pistons. How old is your bike and how much kays have you clocked till now.

        Cheers!

Once upon a time, a guy asked a girl 'Will you marry me?'
        The girl said, 'NO!'

And the guy lived happily ever after and rode motorcycles and watched sport on a big screen TV, went fishing and surfing, and played golf a lot, and drank beer and scotch and had tons of money in the bank and left the toilet seat up and farted whenever he wanted.

        THE END

There's nothing wrong with buying a new 160 4v. That issue above could have been pertaining to a particular model. I've ridden 160 4v before and never had any issues with brakes.

Hey guys, long silence in the thread. What are you guys up to? Hopefully enjoying your steeds. I have a quick question - Anyone noticed a feeble hissing kind of noise from left side of handle bar near mirror or switchgear area when riding on speeds above 65 Kmph? I have observed this from very beginning. Its not a big issue and you have to listen carefully to hear it because of the wind noise. But in the otherwise smooth and vibe free high speed riding experience it kinda sticks out.

                1) can i use 55/60w bulb of RTR 160 4V FI in my RTR 1604V CARB variant? Bcoz my carb variant has only 30/35w bulb which is not okay for me ..Also will it cause loss of warranty in changing bulb?

                2) The Rear disc is making too much noise, service center people are unable to fix it, they just adjust the brake, but after 2 days the brake sound just increases,

does any one found PERMANENT FIX for the rear disc sound problem???

Yeah the 35W bulb isn't good enough in night rides . It's a thumbs down moment and switching to 55W bulb is possible .(Though a minor alteration to be done)

*Regarding disc noises I too have been experiencing almost like you but not on higher note.
If the discs, brake pads are cleaned thoroughly it's okay for few days then it starts screaming !!!!!

P.S: If the noise is less / bearable then leave it , Don't mind it much.

OR If you're ready to spend bucks ,then you can change the brake pads, caliper /entire disc brake system with dBybre or Nissin . They're pretty good .

In all terms I would recommend this beast to buy but if you're budget concerned then you can buy any others....

Hope Xblade is a good VFM , you just test ride at least 5 motorcycles of different brands. Dont decide by reading comments and by watching vlogs.

You have to take the RPM above 5500 to start hearing it. I am going to try to tighten the screws in headlight assembly and speedometer and see if it helps. But if this is a design error may not help. Lets see.

Tru4 is kind of equivalent to Motul 5100. It should not drop just like that after 250kms. I'm having a constant oil level for 700+kms. Check for any oil leaks.

Always check oil level after letting the bike idle for at least 1 or 2 hours.

Hi all, just got my black Apache RTR 160 4v Carb Dual Disc 2 days ago at Coimbatore. I hear a peculiar cracking noise (sounds like minute explosions) in the exhaust when I let go of the accelerator while on movement without closing the clutch. I used to hear it in my uncle's 11 year old Victor but only after it aged a lot. Startled at how it's happening on my 2 day old Apache. Since I'm a bit of a noob on this subject, any insight would be much appreciated. TIA.
