They didn't have 1.2 ltrs for tru4 oil. 1 ltr was 500 rs. They opened one bottle and added 200 ml to complete 1.2 lts. It costed me 600 rs for oil. And 41 rs for oil filter. So, in total, it was 641 Rs.

PS. Edited to 641 rs. It was typing mistake.

They did cleaned and lubed my chain, but didn't charge me. I think the made a mistake here coz the concern person who generates bill was absent and they handed me hand written bill.

And it's rainy season are ,the rear disc slightly started noise !!

[emoji45]Today I was able to hear that ! Any suggestions to avoid that noise!

*As of now little 'squiky' noise arises when I apply the rear disc brakes !
Finally asked ASC to pressure wash the rear DISC and cleaned the caliper, pads too. As of now brake is noise free[emoji1360]

Hey guys, after my first service, I rode my bike little aggressiveley. I reached 7000 rpm twice. And every day to my office commute, I reach 60-65 kmph once it twice momentarily. Now sudden acceleration but slowly. Is it okay?

I think, oil and filter prices are including GST.

Nothing will happen,no worries ! Actually the engine is good to rev around 6k-7k ,I too took a short spin about 40 KMS today. (after got servicing)

                    Ideal means a good one.

So at 5K -6K RPMs the engine feels stress free , kinda running naturally !! (Returns a good mileage too !)

Yeah, At around 7K-8K RPMs on top gear we can ride by Speeds around 80-100.
So definitely riding in triple digit for longer time means, it's stressing the engine and I hope it's not good.

As the peak RPM is at 8K and torque is at 6.5K , I would suggest that around 6.5K -7K is the sweet spot ! (Here speeds can't touch 100 I hope)

Quick update after my first service.
My bike return mileage for 43kmpl.
Riding speed was from between 40 to 60 kmph. Little spirited style.
The left side of tank starts vibrating at 60kmph.
Over all not satisfied with service. The clutch were smooth prior to service, mileage was better prior service. There was no vibes upto 80kmph prior service.
Would go back after Diwali. This is first time in my life that bike is returning less mileage after service.

                        Are you using TRU4 OIL?

yeah I too feel little vibes around speeds of 90kmph. Hence I'm planning to switch semi-synthetic next time ,let's see.

However we should wait for sometime and see the change by FS oil .

They filled tru4 fully synthetic. Actually, the problem in vibes is due to incorrect fastening. Coz right side of tank is perfectly fastened and does not vibe at all.
And I think the mileage will reduce if the riding style is little spirited or aggressiveley.

                            Hi,
I would like to suggest some ideas regarding your product development.
TVS doesn't need any introduction as to how well it has emerged over the years in respect of quality and innovative technology. And from your stable the steed named
Apache rtr 160 4v has many traits of becoming the best ever bike in its segment , with some modifications, the already king would become the emperor of its sweet domain. If some of the following measureas could be taken, it would definitely eat up the sales of bikes like unicorn, xblade, achiever, hornet, xtreme, hunk, pulsars, gixxer for sure.and may be of many higher capacity bikes as well.

I would therefore request you to make the following changes in Apache rtr 160 4v

                            (1) Aero dynamic cowl design with provision for fixing large wind shield to ward off wind blast for Touring perspective.

                            (2) Raised Clip on handlebar as used in 200 4v this will make the rider's triangle more comfortable and long hour cruising friendly.and make the wrists stressfree.

(3)make Blue backlit and gear position indicator and 55 watt bulb standard. Why this discrimination ?

                            (4) This one is primarily made as a city bike . So turning in tight spaces and parking and getting it out of there should be easy. So Small turning radius is a must n mandatory. Do change the rake angle without hampering the longish wheelbase. It can be achieved by placing the engine in reverse inclination ,in the same way as rr310 engine . And lengthen the swingarm and shorten the fuel tank along with its shroud length. This will also help in making the seat longer as the older version of fireo fx.and use the seat padding as same as the one used in victor 110.

                            (5) Bigger petal disk(300mm) both at the front and (230mm)rear. this is arguably the heaviest and longest bike in its segment so it also has to have bigger disk than other to stop it seamlessly.

                            (6) 2 ltr more fuel tank capacity. Apaches are mile munchers and Apaches are always known to carry large fuel tank . Less refuelling is a boon and let's one enjoy the pleasure for long period. So it's a must.

                            (7) This segment is a concoction of comfort and performance . In a word "do it all segment" that lets a novice or moderate rider enjoy their individual tastes alike. therefore More cushier and longer seat is mandatory.

                            (8) There are reports of False neutrals and self start not working properly as well .please make rectification of the problems

(9)solve the cold start issue in the carb variant and low mileage also. SHE IS THE MOST THIRSTY IN HER SEGMENT. this should be addressed because it's a mileage conscious segment.

(10)there are some major quality issues namely chain getting loose, poor paint job, rusting issues, mirror can't be kept fixed it gets loose. Both the brakes make SQUEAKY AND SCREECHING SOUND

                            (11) There are reports of HARD GEARSHIFTS specially while down shifting from fifth to second.please rectify this.

(12)Optional dual channel abs for even for the carb variant

(13)Pillion side cowl touches thigh and and feels like it is going to break.

                            (14) Engine durability ..Please take feedback from customers having completed more than 20000 kms and check whether there have been major issues regarding piston n other parts being deteriorated.there are some reports of the same. please be kind enough to consider this. Make the engine in a way that one wouldn't have to lay hand on the engine in 1.5 lakh km . A bench mark for others to follow.a feat which will make people like honda look ridiculously built of poor quality.

                            (15) Please use 80% Galvanized steel to make the frame.

                            (16) Please offer Slipper clutch as optional

All this ,although howsoever optimistic it may sound ,are a recipe for a bike that will give other manufacturers run for their money. 160 cc segment is one of the most crowded segment where people with low budget, bike enthusiast, novice or moderately skilled rider , even the avid ones find their foothold because of the low price, vfm , and performance that can bring grin in their faces.... It's a segment which can offer one the comfort n economical ride and performance , occasional highway cruising capability as well as look to impress the gals .

PLEASE DONT TAKE ME TO BE A CRITIC OF TVS OR APACHE. ITS A HEARTFELT ADVICE OUT OF ADMIRATION FOR THE PRODUCT, BRAND AND MR.VENU AND HIS TEAM . WHATEVER I SAID IS OUT OF LOVE FOR THE BIKE. ITS A VERY VERY POTENT BIKE , WHICH IF GET SOME CHANGES , WOULD BE A LEGEND AND A BENCHMARK FOR OTHER TO FOLLOW.

PLEASE PLEASE FORWARD THIS MESSAGE TO MR. VENU AND HIS TEAM

                            ----consecutive posts auto-merged-----

Dear and biking brothers Please try to convey this message to tvs heads like Sudarshan Venu and Elias Abraham

No, the fasteners of fuel tank. In every service, they are to be tightened. That's what I read in owner manual. You can check it out too.
