Re: Jawa & 42 Ownership Experience
The biggest irritant in my case has turned out to be the ground clearance. Jawa should have kept a better ground clearance especially for a bike for India where the conditions of the road is pathetic and non-standard speed breakers.
I'm not sure how long will the stand would bear these thrashings.

Re: Jawa & 42 Ownership Experience
Having a hard time understanding the fuel gauge. Shows different readings every time I switch off and switch on the bike. Can someone experienced show some light on it.
Also has anyone noticed that the fuel tank capacity mentioned on official website is 14 liters whereas In the manual its mentioned 13.2 liters and 3 liter reserve so I am confused which is it.
14 liter total with reserve and unusable amount.
13.2 liter total with 3 liter reserve OR
16.2 liter with 13.2 + 3 liter reserve?"Verso l'infinito e oltre"

Re: Jawa & 42 Ownership Experience
I am really concerned about that too. If at all it does get damaged, can it be replaced, is also one of the question I need an answer too.Originally posted by nsm2285 View PostThe biggest irritant in my case has turned out to be the ground clearance. It seems even after an year of launch there are a lot of unanswered questions and very few answers from the company or rather acknowledgements."Verso l'infinito e oltre"

Re: Jawa & 42 Ownership Experience
Can confirm. I think none of the Jawa bikes have a fuel gauge that shows a correct reading. They should really recall these faulty fuel gauges but I doubt they would do that.Originally posted by WILLIAMS View PostHaving a hard time understanding the fuel gauge. The fuel tank capacity is 13.2 liters which includes 3 liters reserve. I think they're just rounding it off saying 14 liters. Not very sure about this though.

Re: Jawa & 42 Ownership Experience
Hello riders..
Posting here after a long time.. previously I had NS 200 and was active in that Ownership Thread. Now NS will be replaced by Jawa 42 Nebula Blue. Booked on 30 Dec 2019. Can you guys please share some experience about your booking date and delivery date as well as waiting experience with showroom guys? Did they provide some information?
My booking Number says that delivery time will be between 1st May to 31st May. Is there any chance, will they deliver it early? I need a bike as early as possible. But fell in love with Jawa quality. Fed up with plastic bikes. Still mine NS engine is smooth and 7 years old but can achieve 140 kmph speed. But I want something more durable this time so going for Jawa. Don't want RE Classic. Earlier almost finalized on Himalayan but they too will deliver on April with BS6. Feel free to guide me. Should I cancel the booking or is it worth the wait?

You are asking the wrong question, going by the bikes you have booked nobody can give you a satisfying answer. I hope you know why you want this particular bike other than just its looks.Originally posted by Himanshu Patel View PostHello riders..

Congratulations for your booking.
You can read my experience- https://www.xbhp.com/talkies/motorcy...ml#post1381633
If you have liked the bike, its really worth the wait.
There are some problems, but nothing that will affect the joy of owning it.

Re: Jawa & 42 Ownership Experience
Hello Riders..
Surprisingly my Jawa 42 Nebula Blue Dual Disc-ABS delivered to me within 15 days of booking period. Booked on 30 Dec 2019 and got it delivered on 15 Jan 2020. Fingers Crossed !!
Paid in full a week before so they arranged one for me and kept it ready. Hats off to showroom guys at Jawa Vapi.
So far the ownership experience is so much satisfying as engine is so smooth and powerful as well. I am following running in procedure till 1st Service/1000 kms so didn't push it beyond 90 kmph yet but oh my Jawa. It has the punch like modern era sports bike and calmness comfort of retro bikes.. A perfect combination. As engine is new, felt some vibrations at speed 85 and above in 6th gear. I hope it will smoothed out after 1st service. Seat is hard so ordered seat cover with cushion immediately from Amazon. Got bar end mirrors installed at showroom. But minor vibrations beyond 85 kmph make them not much usable. Installed Bobo Claw Grip with fast charger. Today gave the bike for ceramic coating. Will get it back on day after tomorrow thus getting time to write this review
.
Bike is head turner at every traffic stop. Jawa didn't deliver enough bikes yet so in some cities it will be head turner for few months more. All age people from children to old uncles are getting interested wherever I go. Few common questions from them are price, mileage, exhaust note, weight, power, engine smoothness and comfort. I happily answer them all
. Bike is so nimble to maneuver in traffic. I had NS 200 previously which is aggressive while overtaking delivering quick power. But still Jawa makes me amused each time I twist the throttle. Build quality of bike is excellent. Showroom person shared info that they use Motul Synthetic Engine oil- A big relief.
Some minor issues I got with speedometer as sometimes when the key is turned on, the needle wont go full circle and got stuck in between, thus indicating wrong speed afterwards. But it gets rectified immediately after another key off-on procedure. Will get it checked in next service. Sharing some photos here from delivery day. Will update after one day ride on 26 January for more experience.
