Re: Jawa & 42 Ownership Experience
Early this morning,I had the chance to drive past the jawa showroom in my place.
There were couple of new ones all wrapped up.
Maybe the deliveries have started to trickle down at last.
As a fellow bhp'ian said,I being an RE owner want JAWA to succeed at all cost
Maybe they can give enough competition to RE,That it tries to mend its ways and give us some quality products and better after sales experience
I'll try getting to the showroom when it opens up to see whether they have really started to deliver.

Re: Jawa & 42 Ownership Experience
There are no updates at all for the last couple of weeks on Jawa's twitter account, last 'claimed' delivery was on June 6. No one seems to know what's going on at Classic Legends. Time and again Anupam or somebody else comes up with a statement that all the online bookings will be delivered by September this year, the CEO says they are working with their partners to increase the production, Anupam calls anybody who questions them on social media as "trolls" when in reality they hired few trolls to troll us, the customers. At some point their CEO said, if the initial capacity is 500 bikes per month then it will not be like that forever, but I really doubt them delivering 500 bikes per month now.
And regarding the first reported owner of 42 on TBHP, he got triggered! On one hand the guys says not to believe anything on the internet, and on the other hand posts a website link about deliveries! I don't really doubt him, but 'being on the rolls of central govt.' he might have few connections with the higher hierarchy of CLPL/Mahindra and in return of the favour of delivering his bike earlier, he is posting all that 'positive' stuff about CLPL/Jawa/Mahindra.
Footlose Dev has been a good source of information until now, but with all due respect to the guy, he is not a true blue motorcyclist and it's evident in his views/videos. Other 'ownership' videos on Youtube too are sketchy and they just go on praising the bike without revealing much!
All in all it's getting gloomy now, either CLPL pulls their socks up or more customers will be demanding for their money back! If Suzuki launches Intruder 250 in classic cruiser design or TVS announces their Zeppelin, there will be lot more cancellations I guess.Last edited by JazWingrider; 06-20-2019, 04:03 PM.

Which user are you referring to? There are now 3 owners who have got deliveries on tbhp. None have penned an ownership report yetOriginally posted by JazWingrider View Post

Re: Jawa & 42 Ownership Experience
I was referring to the first reported owner, a Central Govt Employee, I didn't say he has posted his ownership review, I was just guessing that, as return favor for delivering his bike earlier, he might be posting positive views on Jawa, again I would like to stress, this is just my guess work, nothing more, nothing less.Originally posted by ninjatalli View PostWhich user are you referring to? In the other news, spotted one Jawa 42 in Nebula Blue shade in Dabeerpura, Hyderabad today, from a distance looked like one more of those RE Classics, but the different rumble grabbed my attention, it was looking lovely and the exhaust note was good, not loud but sounded lovely.

A 1.70L Suzuki Gixxer SF 250 costs 2.01L in Pune with 11% road tax.Originally posted by shibushenai View PostNot sure if it has been posted here. See below price list of Jawa 42 in Hyderabad. Waitlist is 8 months.
Points 4-7 are point blank loot and absurd.
Road tax and Insurance is amazingly horribly calculated with a total intent to extort money. This dealer needs to be reported to right and honest Govt official for strict action.Regards,

Totally agree with you. Before booking will check another showroom to see if it's a common practice among Jawa dealers.Originally posted by Akash.Yadav View PostA 1.70L Suzuki Gixxer SF 250 costs 2.01L in Pune with 11% road tax.

None of this price matters until the day of the delivery, Jawa Mahindra has had "0" dispatches of this vehicle from last 3 months.
They claim their annual manufacturing capacity for both exports and local sales is 1,00,000+ vehicles per year with having invested over ₹1000 crore in last year on their R&D and manufacturing plant expansion!
Yet they claim a waiting of 8 months and not having seen a single bike on road in one of most populated cities in India! I totally don't understand what's going on here
Also it's been 8+ months since they have unveiled the bike and 6+ months since the have taken 1st bookings.Last edited by kiran2508; 06-26-2019, 12:20 AM.Bajaj SuperFE 150 - Forever in my heart

There are deliveries happening albeit in very small numbers compared to the order.
I think the setting up of the dealer side was not properly planned up,As the dealer near me was clueless on any detail when I went there a couple of days of opening
I'm not supporting jawa blindly but there is some business going on in the showroom (Atleast the one i see daily)
So,Maybe we can start to see some jawa's roaring on roads soon
Yeah,You are right regarding the plant capacity but I don't think the supply chain both to and from the factory wasn't really in place for this.
I think that is why CLPL let customers book bikes even after knowing that they would not be able to deliver the bikes in time(Like overbooking a flight,Hoping people would cancel) still having some core people who want their jawa's at any cost
The only hope for me in this link is Mr. Anand Mahindra,That was enough guarantee for me to wait for it.

Surprising to see zero deliveries in April & May.

It started with a bang and I wanted to get one too. But then Mahindra 2 Wheelers isn't doing anything in Indian market and Anand Mahindra Ji is not even bothered about expanding it so why will he be interested in a tie-up that he has to invest even lesser?
They wanted to hit RE with just a paper plan. They are even worse than Tata Nano marketing team which was dumb. These look like con-men.Regards,

Re: Jawa & 42 Ownership Experience
I am absolutely shocked with the amount of hate Jawa is getting and I don't think it is fair to them. At one time even RE's had a waiting period of 1 year for it's motorcycle, Jawa is a new company and how Mahindra faired in the two wheeler segment I'm sure they did not expect this demand. Another thing to note is the preproduction models were not that great in the fit and finish department and when i checked the delivered motorcycles recently they were miles better! They must be working on this and that is why it might be taking them this much time to deliver the motorcycles.
P.S: I am in no way associated to the brand or anybody from the company. I just feel that calling them conmen is unwarranted.

1. Played with emotions and nostalgia.
2. Gave an option other than RE which was such a relief.
3. No delivery yet even after 9 months. RE had a waiting period but it wasn't such ill planned for the first product ever for the company.
4. Too aggressive with dealer setup and absolutely clueless to even deliver 1 bike per dealership?
5. Dealerships are clueless too because the company is not informing them anything.Regards,
