  • Re: Jawa & 42 Ownership Experience

It seems Jawa was all hype and nothing serious, haven't seen any on Delhi roads too... They just wanted to hurt RE sales, it was revealed in November last year still nothing on ground
    How are the dealerships surviving?

Which means you cancelled your Jawa booking. It is also "desi" actually.
By the way, I'll suggest you check the maintenance cost of Royal Enfield. It is very very costly once the honeymoon period is over.

I felt the same.. I was looking out on the bike on november-december last year.
Then decided not to buy, didn't want to risk with an unknown brand with it's first batch.
Moved on to TVS Apache 200 ABS and more than happy with the way the bike moves.
I'm sure I wouldn't be this much satisfied with the Jawa.
Just came to this thread to know what happened to Jawa, as I didn't see anything on road.
Funny that it is still not on road yet. I pity the customers who booked.
Even If I'm going to buy the next bike I'm going for the premium segment of TVS. It's so good.

I've been using a Bullet 350 for four and a half years now. Yes, maintenance is on the higher side as compared to Bajaj but I don't mind it because riding the bike has been pure joy until now. I was all ready to upgrade to 500 a month ago but I've been reading reports about upgraded BSVI engines coming out next year. So I will wait for that happen. And with RE 2.0 being all hyped up I want to see what is it exactly that they have in plan. I am hoping they come up with something exciting.

As for the desi angle, I know it sounds ridiculous but that's the way I roll. If the Mojo is anything to go by, I have been given to understand most components are made in China and the bike is assembled here. Makes sense to do the same thing with the Jawa as well. Somehow it doesn't go down well with me :P Phone and computer is already made in China. Bike bhi?

But it is all made in India. Hence the limited number of bikes being dispatched.
One cannot be more patriotic than owning a Bajaj now. [emoji28]

Hamara Bajaj, that was the best slogan.

Folks will be pissed of our advertising Bajaj on Jawa thread.

                    Haha. True that.
But this is not an ownership thread yet because Jawa has delivered eggs instead of bikes.
What a massive failure of marketing and planning by Mahindra group.

What is causing the delay, it's a wonderful bike and it'd be good to break the monopoly of another retro brand. I hope hey fix this soon.

Exactly, I thought okay by now we would've gotten some feedbacks and experience of ownership, so since thread came to the top I opened to read. I was stunned to see nothing about the ownership. Wow!

That's great to know. TVS products have great reliability. The naked RR310 might be the next premium bike from TVS stable. Will become a fierce rival to Dukes and Dominar soon I guess.

TVS RR310 is up and rocking the roads already. The quality is top notch on it and the engine is worth every penny.
TVS really re-assessed themselves with Apache 200 and 310. Completely vibe free and great quality engines.

I Beg to Differ my friend, Jawa Customers like me have seen the bike, ridden it. The way Jawa looks and feels is simply worth waiting. I agree on the first batch part but am certain people may regret cancellin their bookings once Jawa hits the roads. The ride quality of Jawa is simply out standing coupled with the perfect ergonomics. That Straight Seat Certainly brings out whats missing nowadays. It is definitly Head turner.

Whatever the Jawa offers I can't stand for 6 months, No, I don't have that kind of patience.
Jawa can never ever beat the RE with this kind of production pace.
