Re: Jawa & 42 Ownership Experience
It's really unfortunate to see how the company is handling the deliveries and responses on social media. Moreover, I am not really sure what's happening at the Pithampur plant of Mahindra, if the Jawa showrooms and Mojo showrooms are empty. Mahindra has abandoned the Mojo apparently and now not even manufacturing enough Jawa motorcycles for delivery. This conglomerate is known for not being transparent. Surprisingly, even the dealers are also not aware that the bookings of their respective cities have been assigned to them. I think someone from the company has to release an official statement about the definite timelines of delivery of the bikes or if there is a problem they need to tell this to the customers. People can wait does not mean that you will take them for granted.Originally posted by J42 View PostLooks like Jawa is messing it up. Having liked and booked the bike, i feel sad about all this.

Re: Jawa & 42 Ownership Experience
I am also worried about people like you who visit the showroom, take a test ride, love the bike and book it there. The dealers are as clueless about the deliveries as the customers. Just not to loose a customer they are quoting random and unreal date/month for delivery. But the fact is, customers like us who have booked bikes online in November 2018 are yet to receive any clear updates about delivery. I don't understand this strategy of accepting more bookings if you cannot commit anything to earlier customers.Originally posted by Sridhar 1202 View PostBooked Jawa 42 last Saturday. Didn't expect this news. Will wait for June and July delivery status and take decision. [emoji848]
Anyway congratulations for your booking bro. The bike is really awesome and you should really wait if you are not in a hurry. But looking at the current mess, you won't receive any update in June/July. I will be very happy if I am proved wrong.

Re: Jawa & 42 Ownership Experience
Thanks for the wishes J42. Congratulations to you too. Perfectly said. Dealer in Basavanagudi showroom, Bangalore has told me that he will deliver the bike end of October. Going by the situation, I don't think I would get the bike before Jan 2020. LOL.Originally posted by J42 View PostI am also worried about people like you who visit the showroom, take a test ride, love the bike and book it there. One more thing I would like to mention is when my daughter and I went for a test ride, the manager told my wife that if we book now, he will add my booking as well to the existing list of bikes currently getting manufactured at the plant. At the same time one more person who had already booked the bike like you came there to enquire about the delivery itseems. Manager told him that he will surely deliver by June. That guy had booked online before 25th December. Unfortunately I was not there. Else I would have got the exact details of his booking.Last edited by Sridhar 1202; 05-03-2019, 10:28 PM.

Re: Jawa & 42 Ownership Experience
Wow, I booked a Jawa 42 on 9th December after falling in love at the launch, and subsequently cancelled it once news of delivery timelines started trickling it. Judging by this thread I am absolutely shocked Mahindra would handle something in this kind of manner.
On a side note, I ended up booking an Interceptor 650 in December and that too seems to be an endless wait (I see plenty of them on the road though so I know deliveries are happening).

Re: Jawa & 42 Ownership Experience
Hi All,
My name is Sriram am from Mysore/Bangalore. I booked a Jawa classic black with dual ABS on 18th APR in Mysore, i was told waiting period of 9 months. I follow the Jawa motorcycles account in instagram and i saw they did post a bunch of delivery pics to new owners, not sure if it is real or just marketing hit job. I will wait till July and see how many bikes are delivered and how they perform on road. If nothing else i can still buy 2019 Dominar which now is even more WFM.
Regards,
Sriram

Re: Jawa & 42 Ownership Experience
Hello all,
Update on Jawa.
The Classic Jawa is coming with few changes. Golden colour Dial, Golden Fuel Cap and softer Seats.
I was not sure about the Dial and Fuel cap, but the showroom and service center in charge said its coming as standard and not as accessory on the Classic Jawa.
Here is the picture attached of the dial and cap
Also Jawa delivery is picking pace with 6 Classic and 3 Jawa42 being PDI today from Navi Mumbai Showroom.
Here is the Bright White Classic and few others behind waiting for the delivery

Re: Jawa & 42 Ownership Experience
I went to pick up my refund cheque yesterday and the showroom had at least 10 42s lined up(there was only one of each when I booked). Some were for registration and some for delivery as per the salesman. Looks like things can only go upward from here. Good luck guys.
Also, I saw a Jawa 250 on display. The salesman said it only for display and not sale but it looks like a message for things to come.

So did you cancel the booking or stayed with the option of going with Jawa?Originally posted by srs View PostI went to pick up my refund cheque yesterday and the showroom had at least 10 42s lined up(there was only one of each when I booked). The world ain't all sunshine and rainbows. It is a very mean and nasty place. It will beat you to your knees and keep you there permanently if you let it.

Re: Jawa & 42 Ownership Experience
Just for those who are waiting for their Jawa delivery.
I saw a new Jawa, not yet registered, being ridden by the owner.
Seems like deliveries have started in Bangalore and seriously it looks beautiful and was very nimble.
Though I am not buying one for myself. But thought of informing as many have been patiently waiting for their beasts. Good luck folks with your deliveries. You have waited so long, don't take hasty decisions now and rather put pressure on your dealer.
