    All in all, very positive.
Way better than dealerships like Honda and Royal Enfield who have outright attitude which says "Take it or leave it"
My experience with Pune-Chinchwad dealership was similar. When I visited first, it was heavily crowded (Dec 2018, 2 days after inauguration) and they seemed to be confused and understaffed. But during my next visit (mid Jan 2019), they were well prepared and courteous. I also got to test ride Jawa on that day. I have selected the same dealership for delivery (whenever it will be) of my Jawa 42.
    Good experience.

Now this makes most of the people look elsewhere, where the dominor 2019, Honda CB300R is just around the corner

Don't I know that? I meant, it's too overpriced for the category and VFM!

If you are talking about RE, 350 signals's on road price in Bengaluru is ₹2,01,440 (according to bikewale.com). I think 42 dual ABS offers good VFM for that extra 13K.

It's all well and good , but they seriously need to start delivering the bikes already[emoji21] I was a prospective customer , but they haven't even begun showrooms in kerala yet . I'm seriously contemplating moving to MT 15 or R15 v3 , it won't be the same but waiting for a bike with more than 6 months waiting period is just too much for me [emoji55]

Same here. Awaiting for MT 15 or looking at the RTR 160 4V

Has someone received any communication from dealer, about confirming the variant/colour of already booked Jawa/Jawa42?

Hi all fellow xBHPians, this is my first time on the forums getting live, not new as I was a silent follower since 2012. This sudden interest to share my experiences regards to a motorcycle came from JAWA. I'm a young INDIAN who has a zeal at motoring on 2 wheels. So I decided to get the bike as soon as I got know the news of JAWA being resurrected in the month of May-2018. I had already made up my mind to buy this as was not much interested with the enfield engines(350CC,500CC ) because of the vibrations and old tech. Now as i was fixed onto to JAWA I was just keen to know the design and the models which were rumoured to be launched. The day came and i instantly looked out for PERAK as the most interesting one, second the JAWA 42. After thinking on this and seeing PERAK not practical for my needs I decided to go with JAWA 42. Then on 18th November 2018 I booked the JAWA 42.

Then the wait to see the bike in flesh started and Pune showroom opened, so I travelled to Pune all the way from Hyderabad just see the JAWAs and I did. I had the test drive of JAWA 42 and did like it a lot in the fist instance. It was like literal Love at first sight. Then I was dreaming of the bike day and night. Finally opened the showrooms in Hyderabad. So i went to this showroom at Kukatpally and asked for a test drive. I was given one but the receiving and the knowledge of bike the sales persons had was very poor. So this time i drove both the JAWA and JAWA 42. Both the biked were different in terms of fuelling and throttle response and engine sound (not exhaust) JAWA 42 was better. JAWA was dead in the intial rev range and took off suddenly in traffic situations, while the JAWA 42 was very composed and was as one would expect. Let me know if any of you faced the same.

I took two test rides for JAWA 42 as one was not enough. Following are my points to share

Engine: The engine is AWESOME. No vibrations, just minimal to make you aware that you are on a single cylinder combustion engine. Very linear power output with a punch though. Was driving in traffic conditions so no top speed or performance known.

Fueling: The fuelling was spot on for the JAWA 42 unlike the JAWA. E-start is a bit tricky to get used to, but a good add on I feel.

Rider Comfort: The seat is wide and handle is also a wide one(Macho feels). The JAWA's handle is a bit high then 42. The seating posture is relaxed with a bit of commanding stance. At stand still its like you have a toy between your legs easy to move around and control.

Gearbox: The Clutch is very light no feel to it actually. It has tall gears and needs only 3 gears on city mid-level traffic situation.

Heating: It is cool all the time.

Brakes: They are very good, rear being drum is good although it tends to lockup without much feed back. The front breaks are the game changer here for the single channel ABS variant.

Pillion comfort: Not great. I'm actually a 6 footer with a heavy build. When I sat on comfortably, the person form the showroom could not sit on the bike while test drive. I had to slide forward each time. This is were things get uncomfortable. For commute/rides its good but with pillion for a heavy build person it is not easy.

Suspension: Front suspension is good, rear is not good, it is a bit too hard for my liking and when two people sit on it there is no shock action at all. When you hit a pot hole in this state, it kicks you in the butt. Not good at all when coupled with the very less cushioned seat. The ground clearance is also very low keep a eye for these points and share your views here.

The instrumentation panel is good with a retro modern touch. The fit and finish is a question in dark as whatever you printout now is put on to the blame of the bikes being just the prototypes and not the actual production versions. So many loop holes which need to be addressed in regards to the booking, waiting period and the dual channel ABS delivery times.

So, in the end my view for JAWA 42 would be a pretty good bike fairly priced and comparison to the competition by offering better technology and equipment. I'am now being a bit hesitant to stick on to JAWA 42 and thinking of getting a RE Himalayan. As I said I'm a 6Ft guy with 96Kgs weight.

My options now lie with Himalayan, MOJO, Dominar 2019. Mojo is soon going to be extinct as the situation clearly shows this. Dominar is a good bet but the fibre panels keep me away, so remained the Himalayan which is suitable to me and my driving style both. I would be touring and a bit of commute in the city, mostly on highways and villages with rough roads.

That being said, I would like to get a consent of you experts on my thought and help me decide a bike to buy and endure the thrill of BIKERHOOD.
