So there's a scam going on in the name of Jawa. I got a call today from a guy claiming to be from Jawa. He tells me my full name, the bike I've booked including the colour and variant. He tells me that in order to 'process' my booking I need to share an OTP which has been sent by him. I was aware of this scam (https://twitter.com/jawamotorcycles/...877764609?s=09) so I told him I didn't get the OTP and hung up. I actually didn't get the OTP. Checking the number on Truecaller shows the name as 'Jawa Thane' (from where I will be getting the delivery). I assume they would be generating OTPs from wallet accounts where my number is registered and if I share my OTP I would loose money.

I've Tweeted this to Jawa and have also tagged the co-founders of Classic Legends.

EDIT:
Turned out to be a genuine call. I cross checked with Jawa Customer Care and the number was indeed genuine. They sent me an OTP (which thankfully was not from any of my wallet services but from HP-CLPLJW which said 'Dear Customer, XXXX is your OTP to view your booking at Dealership valid for 2 mins.').

Saw a Jawa 42 - Nebula Blue today in Hyderabad while commuting to office.

Looked really nice. Small and fiesty. [emoji16]

It had a permanent registration number but not from Hyderabad as far as I can recall.

Saw a black Jawa standard yesterday on temp reg plates (number was written with black marker). The exhaust note was like music to my ears, though the bike seemed quite small - not sure I liked that part. The rider had stuffed his phone inside the helmet and was going very slow - around 10-15 kmph. Hopefully, we get to see more bikes soon on the road!

Thanks. It's single channel ABS, booked online on 24 December 2018. I got delivery in Pune.

Today the dealer told that if I want single ABS then it is available now. But I said NO.

, sorry i just couldn't believe. you must be frustrated what is the show room guy said about this. and why there is single and dual channel abs on bike, it is not like passenger and driver air bag.

Thanks Mate. Yes, I booked in showroom in Bangalore on 2nd January. I am really frustrated now. Also waiting for Classic 350 BS6 .

I got the delivery of Jawa 42 Dual ABS Nebula Blue last week. Booked on 24/11/2018. Coming from Honda Unicorn Dazzler I'm absolutely loving every part of it.

Dazzler wins here. But if I compare it with RE (all except the twins), Jawa wins hands down.

There are some niggles though. The biggest issue is ground clearance. Roads are in pathetic condition at my place and if there's a pillion the centre stand touches if I hit a bigger pothole or poorly designed speed breakers.
