Showrooms are running dry coz there's hardly any actual sales. Customer service is kinda similar for a lot of their showrooms

      Dead Admins, Moderators,
Please change the title of the thread to Jawa and 42 Discussion/Fiasco/Experience until we get any owner.

            An update gentlemen:

I got a call from a NCR jawa dealer (noida sect 63) I had visited previously asking me if I wanted immediate delivery for a Jawa 42 comet red. The guys who's booking it was had flaked on payment. Seeing as this was something I totally didn't expect, I said I'd visit them in person to discuss. Long story short, though I didn't want the 42 on offer (want different color and dual ABS), I had a chat with the showroom owner who happened to be in and he told me that deliveries from their showroom were going on with 6-7 bikes delivered each week. They were already nearing the end of November bookings and should have their November 2018 booking backlog cleared this month. For my choice of bike(dual ABS), I would have to wait 2-3 months more.

So I guess being patient is gonna pay off soon folks. How the bike performs outside the previews remains to be seen though. He said customers were happy with some folks reporting mileage north of 40! Being dealer info, please take with a pinch of salt.

The lack of the bike on roads can perhaps be explained by the example of the gentleman in my society who has purchased an orange interceptor to adorn his parking spot . Seriously, that bike has been in the exact same spot for the last 20 days at least

20 pages and not a single delivered bike?

I got a test ride on wednesday, looks and feels as a much better alternative to the RE.

The waiting period here in Pune is around 7-8 months for both the models.

Most likely Jawa has around 5 bikes that they keep rotating between various cities and pay Rs. 100 to fans to sit and take pics of "delivery". [emoji28]
Their dedication to enter the market is so noteworthy that they will hit the BS6 norms deadline and waiting period will increase further.
Whoever planned this needs to go into the marketing books as one of the dumbest.

So true brother! They have nearly exhausted whatever goodwill was in the fan base. While I am quite certain now that deliveries will start to trickle in from this month (picking up on the sudden rise in dealer chatter), all these marketing gimmicks without focus on delivery has me worried. If the bike isn't stellar, it will be a hard recovery for Jawa. New owners will be brutal to the company if it doesn't reward their saint-like patience with something that exceeds their expectations. And I am really apprehensive because Mahindra has a knack for shooting their own foot in the 2 wheeler market. Look at how they dropped the ball on the Mojo .

I want Jawa to succeed. We need a serious challenger for RE in India to create some real competition. I love retro bikes but RE has taken that market for granted for far too long. Their bikes were more outdated than retro until recently. Even now their price gouging over paint jobs really grinds my gears. Please don't mess this up Jawa!

+1 . He seems like on payroll of Jawa. Not sure why his claimed friend is posting pics and images. you question him and see the magic...some body is not correct with Jawa on ground. To me it appears that they were not ready at all to launch but went ahead to meet some obligations perhaps...Dealer in noida claims to have delivered 20 bikes in a month but i am yet to see anything. On top, they are busy inaugurating showrooms but for what?

                          God knows

I don't understand why Admins have not renamed the thread. There is no ownership here at all and people are getting frustrated.
They are slowly turning out to be fraudsters and may be becoming small time Nirav Modi or Vijay Mallaya.
God know how many bookings came with 5000 each. You deposit this in bank as FD and enjoy the interest.
RE might be really horrible but they laugh to the bank with Ashok Leyland truck full of money every time because they can deliver inferior bikes all the time but still deliver.
Jawa is waiting for BS6 to start so that they can hike the prices again and mint more money.
I never thought Anand Mahindra will shake hands with fraudsters like this.

No idea if he's on the payrolls, but I did question him a lot; but then he went all crying to the mods saying there's been name calling and (RE) fanboyism/attack, since I am a RE Interceptor owner. Few other experienced members posted on a similar note to what I had posted, but the conversation wasn't going anywhere, so decided to step back and let it pan out. The last few posts between him and me on this conversation were removed by the mods, with the last discussion point being one of the mods requesting him (same thing what I had asked a few times earlier) to put up a detailed ownership report, to which he'd given a dubious response while asking back why wasn't his earlier post on Jawa whatsapp group was deleted.

Anyway, in principle, there's seemingly an owner of a Jawa on tbhp. However there's no ownership report or even a genuine feedback report that one can trust/depend on either of the forums (tbhp, xbhp). Even if that user did put up an ownership report, going by his past record, I don't believe I'll be able to trust his feedback. Meanwhile on both forums, the mods are happy to play the waiting game; since in principle there's nothing wrong going on.

I remember this from Aviation industry with Boeing, when investors are losing faith in your company, just make a mock up Airplane and announce it to public as 787 Dreamliner for show with a false delivery date and grow back the investors trust and have tons of bookings. Later keep pushing the delivery date for more than 5 years!

Guess that's the case here, they might still completing the R&D work from the ₹5000 booking amount money of "unknown" number of people.
