Re: TVS Apache RTR 180
so how much will it all these cost approximately? i was planning to get it done because i have experienced issues with bad cold starts on the carb and the throttle response being jerky from time to time.Originally posted by TarunSundar View PostAll those parts you mentioned has to be changed and battery, alternator and electrical wirings with fuses. No need to change the bore and piston. Even no need to touch the engine.
But what was the need for this process.
If the cost is too much i might refrain from this project.

TVS Apache RTR 180
Injector will cost you upto 9000/-Originally posted by pranav_salieri View Postso how much will it all these cost approximately? i was planning to get it done because i have experienced issues with bad cold starts on the carb and the throttle response being jerky from time to time.

Battery at max 1500/- by exchanging old.
Wiring harness 2000 to 3000.
Rest all I have no idea.
Cold stars issues can be rectified with fine tuning the carb. Jerky acceleration can be due to cable play. Slight play in accelerator cable can be the reason.Last edited by TarunSundar; 04-22-2020, 02:30 PM.

Re: TVS Apache RTR 180
IMHO, it should set you back by a minimum 20K INR.
Thanks
SrvnOriginally posted by pranav_salieri View PostThanks for your reply. what part changes are we looking at ? also how much would be the approximate cost?
I am guessing a new Fuel Pump , Oil cooling unit, FUel injection Kit ,ECU, Exhaust (Inclung Catcon_) and wiring will need to be changed. WIll have to change the bore and piston as well?

Re: TVS Apache RTR 180
My friend that is a very costly affair, for that you might need so many changes from whole electrical to mechanical. You need to understand how Fuel injection works, it takes inputs from various sensors. Some of these sensors are installed on various parts of engine so that also might need some modifications to accommodate those. If you somehow get those modified than the reliability would be a concern, instead you can get the parts which involves some modifications replaced to the bs6 model than this will make a big hole in your pocket.Originally posted by pranav_salieri View PostHi guys, with the bs6 Apache on the way is there a possibility to retrofit the fi syatem from the bs6 model to my 2010 model?l
Speedometer and its connector must me different in the bs6 due to Malfunction lamp.
Silencer has oxygen sensor, engine temperature sensor, fuel pump in fuel tank, Maf/map sensor in air filter assembly, difference in regulator/rectifier, wiring, Ecu, etc..
If you really need a Fuel injected motorcycle you might be better of selling this one and getting the updated bs6 model.Give your details help a biker stranded in your city.

You need to pull the clutch cover off and inspect if all parts of the actuation mechanism are present as per your parts manual and properly fixed.
Especially Parts 14, 23 and 25, a thing to note is that there is a metal ball which is part of 25, please make sure that is present as well.
