No idea why parts are not available.. they asked me to wait for 1week. But I procured the same from outside. I am from trivandrum.

I bought Apache only because of the ABS.

        Hello,

I have a 2014 RTR180 ABS. Last week had been to ride which included steep off-road. While ascending, the clutch didn't engage and had to adjust the clutch. After which, from 6-8k rpm the bike just accelerate without clutch engaging. Bike has run 16000km, what would be the issue?

Also, is there an active apache biking club in Bengaluru?

            Please explain properly.
Adjust clutch like what? Did you loosen it or tighten it?
And how did you disengage the clutch at 6k to 8k rpm? Did you disengage the clutch at that speed? N if so, why did you even do that in the first place?

Check for clutch cable adjustment. It might have gone loose n clutch might not be disengaging fully. And also if you haven't changed the oil for more than 2000kms for mineral oil and 3000kms for fully synthetic, then you might feel it's harder to shift.

Guys i have a weird problem with my rtr 160 that appeared a week back. While riding at say 10kmph in 1st gear and 2000rpm, if i raise the throttle a little bit, it starts choking like as if the petrol got over suddenly, and this happened only at 2000rpm no matter what gear im in. Showed it to a mechanic n he did change the spark plug cap , so changed it now the problem is different. After starting the cold engine if i raise the throttle slightly it chokes n turns off (not like petrol getting over kind of choke). This happens only between 1000 rpm to 2000rpm. But it idles very well even on cold start up, and above 3000rpm no hiccups. If i give sudden but not too much throttle it chokes, and this problem goes away once the engine is upto temperature. What might be the solution to this wierd problem?

Clutch is good, changing oil every 1500 kms. The issue only halppenas when shift from 1st gear to nuetral, it i very hard., and only when the engine is running idle

I'm having the exact same issue (highlighted part) with my RTR 200 for the past few days. Earlier it was perfectly alright and the issue has popped up all of a sudden. If I find a solution, I'll let you know.

Fortunately the solution is simple. Buy a new spark plug cap. The problem disappeared just like that after changing. I thought "how can this be?" And checked again by replacing the new with the old to see if the problem persists, and yes the spark plug cap is the culprit.

Hmm, yes sometimes it is difficult to get to break neutral from 1st gear, but yours seems to be prolonged difficulty. I don't know what might be the problem. Did you get it checked with a good mechanic?

For my 160 it was 80rs from the local shop, from a brand called doshi auto parts.(they make most of the good quality tvs oem spec parts)

I'll first clean my spark plug cover and see if the issue gets sorted out. If not, I'll wait for a few days before changing. It is much of an annoyance than an issue.

Yeaa, but my problem was that, it used to choke in the middle of the road while taking a turn or when there was a need to accelerate quickly, which put me in a dangerous situation once. Hence the search for the solution began.

All of a sudden, the bike refused to start today morning. The bike was taken to SVC and the spark plug was replaced. Now the bike is running fine.
