regular oil change, disk plate change, kerb cleaning, filter change etc i am getting done anyways from normal garage.
but, currently i am facing a challenge. maybe you guys can help: the cable from the TPS has come lose, don't know how. Saw it dangling down when i saw near the reserve switch. But i am not able to find where that red plug of the wire connects, not able to see any loose cable socket where it might go.
anyone have experience on the same? I have raised the issue in HELP ME section, but seems the thread is awaiting moderation before going live.
TPS is under the tank attached to the frame. You have slightly lift the tank so that you’ll get enough room to fix TpS wire into the sensor.

Also list the problem which you’re facing in your rtr. Atleast from my side or from Xbhp-ians side we can give some fix.

All these happened after 2nd paid service of the SVC, after they changed the spark plug, spark plug cap, Air filter, as it needs to.be changed for every 12k kms. as per TVS.

Have they messed up the carb?? Now i have set it to 2.( 4 half turms)
FE Differs a lot in City and Highway riding.

And Try SHELL petrol as they're good and I'd say better than all.

Guys my bike has ridden more than 1.25 lakhs kms oddo and he is 4 yrs old. Recently i had done a major service and replaced ignition coil, lock set, cylinder kit, done bore works, replaced CD unit. From the next day onwards the bike started stopping itself while running. It was like when we change the petrol from main to reserve. I thought it was due to the spark plug issue. Changed the adaptor and spark plug. But the issue still exists. The bike now lacks the power. The bike is still stalling if i drive at 5 rpm or above for 10 kms or more. still unable to identify the real problem. Any idea on this issue???

Check your tappet valve clearance (timing will be adjusted ) and piston or bore setting.
Some times carburettor with out of adjustment do that.
First check with tappet and piston settings. Then carb.

Remove the cap and clean then Check engine oil level.

After that ride for about 20 kms with revs.

Check for engine oil leak near that cover.

If yes , you need to change the oil seal.

Answer to one of your queries.

Apache RTR 180 does not have a rev limiter. But the 160 does.
No, the 160 also does not have a rev limiter.

These are shitty tyres. Get Zapper FS for front and Zapper C for back. It's a better option.

Go for Masseters front and back. Pretty much the best bang for the buck. Running the front for 6k and rear for 12k kms now, and mighty impressed with both. They have upped my confidence level even in wet, sandy, slushy conditions.

Don't go for the pilot sporty, probably the worst tires ever - perhaps even more than stock TVS Srichakras. Slightest water and the tires lose traction, have many heart in mouth situation with just rear Sporty and front R15v2 tires. Although the front R15v2 are also good, but Masseters are easier to find and retain their shape better. My R15v2 front had become Omega shaped, despite having tread remaining for almost 5k kms more.

                          Prices when purchased (Bangalore city)
                          Front: 2300 - 90/90/17 (stock size)
                          Rear: 2600 - 100/90/17

I am using that set up, I like the Michelin city pro tyres but not too happy with the pilot sporty. I suggest city pros for the front as well

It is possible with 50-50 chances to the performance. You have to spend a lot. You need to change many parts.

Thanks for your reply. what part changes are we looking at ? also how much would be the approximate cost?

I am guessing a new Fuel Pump , Oil cooling unit, FUel injection Kit ,ECU, Exhaust (Inclung Catcon_) and wiring will need to be changed. WIll have to change the bore and piston as well?
