Re: TVS Apache RTR 180
That's actually not the tappet noise. It'll come from the place where the spark plug connector connects to the coil wire( i guess that's what you are experiencing, like a 'tik tik kit kit')Originally posted by suj View PostMine has done 34000 kms . I got tappet adjustment from a local mechanic recently....Currently using motul 7100 10w40 ,drain interval every 3k.

U may be right....I'll get it checked once again....One more thing , spark plug is getting clogged every 4 months....small amount of oil or petrol is visible on the tip of spark plug...thank u 😃😃Originally posted by Siddhartha.S View PostThat's actually not the tappet noise. Re: TVS Apache RTR 180
Yeaa.. that spark plug cap(the inner part) wears off for some unknown reason!! There's no proper spark i guess for the same reason ..and hence the petrol visible on the tip.Originally posted by suj View PostU may be right....I'll get it checked once again....One more thing , spark plug is getting clogged every 4 months....small amount of oil or petrol is visible on the tip of spark plug...thank u 😃😃

Re: TVS Apache RTR 180
Me too felt the same... No idea.. mine is zapper 90/90-17 on front and massater 120/80-17 on rear.. rear is awesome. Front is also good but not feel so comfortable..Originally posted by vinayus View PostWith my 2k km ride. I prefer Remora over Zapper FS. Just my personal choice. Rear Masseter is really good but maybe try getting Masseter for front as well if you can.
Else it might feel weird while driving.

Re: TVS Apache RTR 180
exactly. it feels weird, now that i'm already 3k + kms.Originally posted by apacherider View PostMe too felt the same... No idea.. mine is zapper 90/90-17 on front and massater 120/80-17 on rear.. rear is awesome. Front is also good but not feel so comfortable..
I'm starting to get doubts about alignments nowadays. Anyways due to service soon, will get it checked and see if I have to get used to this or some change is required.

Re: TVS Apache RTR 180
Haven't actually noticed?!! Maybe slightly the petrol is leaking? Due to cracks in the rubber adapter? (Jus a guess). It's not rainy season now BTW! Check with some other good mechanic.Originally posted by apacherider View PostFound something like oil here.. when checked with mechanic he said its usual on rainy season.. anybody experience this problem???

Re: TVS Apache RTR 180
Can anyone help me solve this oil leak from cylinder head issue,i am sick of going to TVS showrooms time and again. Also a good local mech was not able to solve the issue despite applying some adhesive paste on the heads to stop the leak.
also does the engine oil leak when the bike is revved hard?
My bike has done 34000 kms change its a 2010 model RTR 180.

Re: TVS Apache RTR 180
After 55000 kms and 2.8 years my battery gave up.. bike is still awesome.. mid range is mad.. replaced the chain with o ring chain and sporkset.. Engine become more smoother as am using motul now.. However have some pulling issues while riding with pillion.. hope its due to heavy rain riding for the last 1 month.. Never spent any penny other than oil change, filter change, tyres, pads and chain. Am daily commuting 80 kms at least at 70 to 80 kmph. Still giving me 40,41 sometimes even 42 kmpl. Also my digital meter is kind of give up as they are not indicating the full numbers. Do i have to replace the entire meter set? The rear brakes dont have the bite as they used to. Bleeding is good, changed pads and still wondering why it lacks the bite.. any idea guys???Riding is all about trust, love and passion
