Hey guys this link above is worth viewing, four guys in South Africa took a road trip on the RTR 180. Surprised to discover that the Apache is sold in South Africa as well as Mexico!
Inspiring.....Loved the way the guy compared it to "Sachin" & also the manner in which the RTR won over the blog starter, after being labelled as a "pissy" thing

      .

Pay a visit to SVC and get the silencer tightened.
      It wont take much time.

                Completed 2,000 km on ODO.

                Bike Delivered - 13 - June - 2012
                Registration Date - 27 - June - 2012
                Kilometer's Done - 2033km
                Top Speed - 118km
                0 to 60 - 5.3 Seconds
                Mileage > 42
                Servicing Completed - 1
                Next Servicing - 2500 km
                RedLined RPM- Never
                RPM - 8.5-8.7k Max

                Mileage Details :-
I Am getting Mileage of 42 (Min.)
                Road - 50% Highway & 50% City.
Highway Speed - Between 60-100 (Completely Insane Riding, Ripping (Racing) Throttle Response)
                Everyday km's - >75

                -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Always Leading after Traffic Signal or on free highway, Pick Up is simply outstanding, Furious Rush.

Full Marks for Aggression & Throttle Response.

Flickable & awesome mid range torque but after 105km/h you will not be as comfortable as you are on 80s & 90s.

Gear Shifting sometimes Maska Sometime Chaska, Average Shifting of Gears.
Brakes - "ABS" must be in every bike, that's what my Honest Opinion is, Lots of moments to share. Trust on my words its really a worth of paying 8-11k more BLINDLY.

With Disc on both wheel stopping distance will always surprise you.

Free Body Massage (Vibration) though not very much but still you will realize it easily, specially on right foot peg.

Fuel Meter shows different levels, what I Assume is the best way to judge your fuel meter is to keep Bike on Main stand for 1-2 Minutes & Then Switch on Ignition . else after few km's ride it goes high for sometime but yes it do settle down.

Riding Position first week I was bit uncomfortable but now i am almost relaxed when riding my Beast.

Suspensions works fine no much fuss.

Cornering & Handling is fun loving job, And yes its a Bike for Experienced & Professional as well as for amateur.

                Query now,

As I have completed 2k now what should be my next step ? what are all the instruction to follow when giving bike for second servicing ?

And my Silencer is making some noise now, like Coin dropping, I have checked it, the Silver Metal which help silencer from getting heated (the one where RTR is written) is loose, anybody what to do ? tried tightening both of the Screws/nut attached but didnt happen seems its already tighten, but that Metal seems to be loose, easily movable
                .
                HELP

When the Angels arrive, the devils leave.

What mileage did you get before 1000km ?

                • Not before Runnnin period but before first servicing i used to get around 38-40 (approx) but after 1500 km now i am getting min of 42..

I Remember First Liter of petrol in my bike gave me around 35-36 hardly ... ~

The proper way IMO is to first clean and then lube the drive chain every 500-750kms for best performance as well as chain/sprocket life. The SVC would do this job for you and would charge around 80INR.

We can lube it alright at home, but cleaning is a difficult job at-least for me. Putting lube on top of a dirty chain would do no good.

                        P. S. as shahbaz said, TVS Truspray costing around 295 can be used for lubing.
The Apache is ever willing to red line each cog, but the Rider ain't. Enjoy RTR, Safely. Period.

How to clean the dirty chain ..?? use a solvent..??
TVS Truspray hardly lasts for 200km in the rain.. It wastes a lot of time & money.. Any alternative..??
