Advice is a form of nostalgia.
Dispensing it is a way of fishing the past from the disposal, wiping it off, painting over the ugly parts and recycling it for more than it's worth.

Handle ??? that would be really interesting & creative

but to change handle that means you need to change headlight too i guess... lte other confirm it... it simply means you have to merge both Bike ? isnt it ?

      • The RTR has clip-on handles. How will you install the normal handles of the FZ? And you'll spoil the character of the bike! Its not so bad once you get used to it. There are many who swear by the flickable handles of the RTR!!

        • If you change the split handle,to FZ type, then you have to change its orientation as well(change the sitting position) and hence would affect handling of the bike.which would be a stupid idea. The handle serves its purpose well.please dont change it.If you still go ahead, then better put a Old Pulsar type handle.

It can be done but not sure about the aftermath of it.

@atrocks007 : As suggested before Go For Apache 150 handle bars as it will require the least modifications.

            • to add "ABS" Experience here in blog I would like to tell you my today's incident... (Honest One)

Coming Home from Eastern Express Highway (MUMBAI), Was over 70+ after Crossing Sion Bridge there is a Work going on for some fly over or whatever I don't know, Traffic was moving at same speed...

And Then Suddenly a Meru CAB Came from nowhere Crossing the Road to take a U-Turn (Mor*n) Right, Beside Me on left side(Some Feet Ahead 15ft-20) Maruti 800 was running at same speed , he saw that Car & Brake hard & was able to stop easily but here is the main coarse come i saw it almost at the time when it was as close as a 3-4 seconds away... Brake Hard as hard as i can Speed reduced from 60 to under 30 with blink of eyes sound of tyre scratching & then ABS came in picture 3 Counter attack (I mean Lever Goes out of hand automatically,[Jerkin] as it shud in ABS Bikes) by Front Lever & one By Rear one & I Was Standing Straight almost 15-20 Inches Away from that Car Said Thanks to ABS Kissed my Bike & Went again ....

That Was a Moment i Felt a every milliseconds

Its not just the riding posture that changes. There are other issues like the control cable lengths. The stock ones are designed with the std handle in mind. Increase/decrease in this length by using a different handle will affect their behaviour. atleast, thats my experience from one of my attempts on my dads old Bajaj 4S.

Very True, The Front Bar of any bike is very much of importance as it complete's bike's geometry accordingly (as the developer/designer wants)...

Suspension, Disc Connection, ODO, Tyres & Headlight are directly connected with this bars.

Where as Handlebar is importance aspect in motorcycle for its Handling & Comfirt for rider, infact you are playing with Chassis of Bike ...

And in Apache's case Chasis is very much important & its one of best available in market.... So if you want to do some R&D then fine but it might result a big loss for bike

                          • Change in oil filter

                            hey guys..

I have planned to run my rtr on the Motul 300v synthetic oil..
                            and my question is..
since the oil filter is changed for every approx.2500 km when running on mineral oil..
1.can 'one' oil filter be used for the 5000km that the synthetic oil lasts?
2.If there is a need to change the oil in between oil change.. wont there be loss of a few ml. of oil when changing the oil filter?

                            Kindly help me out
                            Thank you in advance

thank you guys for the prompt reply. guess i better wait for the warranty period to get over. then go in for a complete perfomance overhaul. heard raceconcepts does a good job. was thinking of reccomending it to a fellow Apachian who happens to be my best friend. (his RTR completed the waranty period)

                                Mileage Details :-
I Am getting Mileage of 42 (Min.)
                                Road - 50% Highway & 50% City.
Highway Speed - Between 60-100 (Completely Insane Riding, Ripping (Racing) Throttle Response)
                                Everyday km's - >75

                                -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Always Leading after Traffic Signal or on free highway, Pick Up is simply outstanding, Furious Rush.

Full Marks for Aggression & Throttle Response.

Flickable & awesome mid range torque but after 105km/h you will not be as comfortable as you are on 80s & 90s.

Gear Shifting sometimes Maska Sometime Chaska, Average Shifting of Gears.
Brakes - "ABS" must be in every bike, that's what my Honest Opinion is, Lots of moments to share. Trust on my words its really a worth of paying 8-11k more BLINDLY.

With Disc on both wheel stopping distance will always surprise you.

Free Body Massage (Vibration) though not very much but still you will realize it easily, specially on right foot peg.

Fuel Meter shows different levels, what I Assume is the best way to judge your fuel meter is to keep Bike on Main stand for 1-2 Minutes & Then Switch on Ignition . else after few km's ride it goes high for sometime but yes it do settle down.

Riding Position first week I was bit uncomfortable but now i am almost relaxed when riding my Beast.

Suspensions works fine no much fuss.

Cornering & Handling is fun loving job, And yes its a Bike for Experienced & Professional as well as for amateur.

                                Query now,

As I have completed 2k now what should be my next step ? what are all the instruction to follow when giving bike for second servicing ?

And my Silencer is making some noise now, like Coin dropping, I have checked it, the Silver Metal which help silencer from getting heated (the one where RTR is written) is loose, anybody what to do ? tried tightening both of the Screws/nut attached but didnt happen seems its already tighten, but that Metal seems to be loose, easily movable
                                .
                                HELP

When the Angels arrive, the devils leave.
