one goes inside engine another dunno. but now its just laying there... m gonna wrap it with a sponge till mech return.

yeah i took out the entire stock air filter case n hose as i didn't wanna damage it

whenever you have to take the bike to service you have to re set the stoke setting of that air box and air filter other wise they will void your warrenty

and warrenty is a very big thing god knows what problem will arise in future

and this is not a cheap bike its spare are very expensive

no sweat... I'll just go to my mech n ask him to put back before giving for service.. another 3000 km for next service

i don't care what service guys say. coz most of them say bull s*!t and no two service guys say the same thing. sometimes i wonder if they are actually trained by tvs or just some random people hired by the service centers....

Hi guys...I have done 2250kms with my rtr180...i will be going for 2nd service this week...well my 1st service was very bad...this time i have decided that i would take a day off and go to the service centre and stay there till they do my bike's service...my bike has lite hiccups when i take my bike out..
coming to the point,...should I go for any particular engine oil? like motul 20w40...and is there anything that i should be careful of while servicing? what about chain lubrication? I have not touched my bike chain after my 1st service...i.e since 500kms..(assuming that they have lubed my chain in my 1st service!) ...Thanks

its a new filter... when it needs cleaning i'll take to the authorized dealer n clean it there.. they use some sorta liquid to clean it.

bridgestone tvs??? they wont change oil other than tru4 oil. and i don know about staying with your bike till it gets serviced will be possible there...

Buy a Chainspray can for lubing purposes. TVS Tru chainspray is very good and is quite cheap as compared to Motul and OKS.

Things to watch out before buying

Hi,

I will be buying the apache rtr 180 this Sunday. Is there anything that I should watch out for during delivery. And the showroom guy is quoting Rs. 76500 (on road delhi). Is the price ok?

the price you mentioned is with octroi or w/o octroi????

m also buying rtr 180 in a few days..... i want to know that are the spare parts(brake liners,clutch plate,etc) of rtr 180 more costly than its counterparts like pulsar 180 n all???

2- tools
3- odo readings
4- don forget to take the extra mud flaps

Yes it is costlier but by a small margin!!

I got my bike for 70K dot,OTR Noida but that was a year back.Whereas the on-road prices for Delhi were cheaper by 1.5-2k..I am sure he's quoting you some grands extra..

No idea if the price have been revised or what.Do a little bit of homework before getting your bike..

congs for your new bike or hone wali bike. by the way from which showroom you are getting it.

i get mine from sk tvs tilak nagar for 70200 ,price of my rtr 180 was 73000 on road that time means 6 months ago. they have given me rupees 1800 off cus 20 aniversary of their showroom that month. and thanks to my father he is a superbargainer he ask to give only 70000 and the deal fix in 70200 we save 1000 rupees.

and out side showroom standing mine brand new sparkling pearl white rtr 180.
cus that was my first bike i was very scared to ride it . i dont even taken a test ride before purchasing. so i ask the showroom guy to drop bike to my home and he send a mecanic with me to my home. and the time i first time when i sit on seat give a self engage first gear and leave the clutch cant tell you that fealing. its handling is just awesome.
