You are down to the last detail..Okay,replace that for 'I'..

Seems I will have to ride both Motorcycles back to back to comment, adding to my woes, my friend sold his RTR-180 to buy a Unicorn.
Do timings next time to see which is faster,(if you wish to know, seat of the pants feel is an illusion) a pappu Motorcycle which has no torque or a torquey Motorcycle.

Timings better be left for tracks..Hills,to me, are for 'fun' !

Why not take a look on posts by Praful, chicane and renny on what 'torque' feels like??

      Regarding your seat-of-the-pants-feel,try searching for Manan bhai's 180 vs.Ken da's R1,must be up somewhere in the tourer thread...No +5 here,just R1.
Also,R15 ain't a SBK that it'll make up for the time wasted in downshifting.Neither does it fly around corners that fast that the RTR will be left forever behind. The RTR is quicker with better roll-on times. So,please buddy try to be as practical as possible!

You need not be oh so politically correct.

Some people are too stubborn to understand. Can't help?..

      BTW,Do you own R15??

Good for you and everyone who thinks so, as today I am riding "x" and may graduate to "y" the day after, so being obsessed with my Motorcycle is wrong and being obsessed with Motorcycles is perfectly okay.

      Happy Riding

      I must agree to this

      Answers in bold..!
If you ride like there's no tomorrow...worry not there won't be!

          @ sheelpriye

have u ridden a rtr uphill????
its so freaking fun. r15 is made for track n normal roads n uphill turns n twists n riding those conditions really suck in r15... ( thats my experience in nandi hills )

rtr is more fun n responsive in those kinda situations n uphill turns n twisties can be easily done.

i dunno if u'll agree with me but this is my view

          • Guys Guys Guys ....!!!! Enuf Of this argument now...!!!! We cant compare the bikes to each other. Last Words.........
"We are not saying that other bikes are not good, Its just that RTR is better"
We Bikers are not those who ride to commute , But the ones who commute to ride

Today, how come all of a sudden, RTR 180 with more power is 2 seconds slower than P220 ???
you said it your self. you are confusing 220Fi with 220dtsi. there is a lot of difference between the two apart from the incorporation of a carburetor. 220 Fi was not great in the track because of softer suspension , front brakes were not that responsive and the front of the bike would dip alarmingly during heavy braking, the tyres were not great either.and definitely the chasis.

however ,the new 220dtsi has more power, has stiffer front and rear suspension, the front brake is very sharp thanks to the steel braided brake line, has the soft compound tyres and the rake angle has been increased to give it a shorter wheel base to make it more flickable around corners.so definitely it should be faster than the previous 220Fi.

however i expected RTR 180 to perform better. BTW i have stopped reading these Mags.

                          • We all love to enjoy Motorcycles and Motorcycling, sole reason we guys are here and share views.

By timing your up hill ride, my intention was to know that you can't exactly know from the seat of the pants feel, which Motorcycle is quicker, right?

As long as one is enjoying his Motorcycle and Motorcycling, it is all well, Old Fox's signature puts it across-- "I don't let my Motorcycles interfere with my Motorcycling."

Somone's inabilty/un-interest not to up/down shift to make a Motorcycle go faster is a fault on rider's part, it can't be blamed on the Motorcycle, can it?

@shivank-- I do ride an R15 coupled with many other Motorcycles.

@chicane--Is it the 2K paint? what is the name? It looks absolute gorgeous.

IIRC, R15 had a lead of abt 3 seconds over P220Fi and RTR160fi was abt 1-2 seconds behind P220fi.....

Today, if you've noticed, the gaps remain more or less the same [R15 (~3secs) P220 (~1-2 secs) RTR180] even when RTR 160fi was replaced by RTR 180

thats where it looks fishy .....

i hope u've got my point

The bikes should have been more towards the right side in the image, you should have shown the background where your bikes are pointing. I hope I did not confuse you
