aww got to get familiar with those things. actually the braking makes a bit of a screeching sound .. is that normal??? because it took a day after the Service for the brakes to be back to normal stopping power. till then it was like hot knife through butter :POriginally posted by jsg View PostYes. But certain basic things like tuning, air bleeding and filter cleaning can be easily done by layman

Thts cause of the water wash. The discs remain greasy a bit for some 30kms.
The brakes shouldnt screech so early. You use rear also for breaking rt? Usually this happens if we suddenly brake with just the front brake or just the rear. It's not about the RIDE. It's about HOW YOU ride :]

i usually use both..rear first then both. but braking is still powerful as it should be.. ( have rode an RTR180 for a long time before getting my ownOriginally posted by jsg View PostThts cause of the water wash. The discs remain greasy a bit for some 30kms.

) but was a bit worried about the screeching sound. guess ill let the SVC in kochi have a look when i get there.
btw while on idling the rev starts fluctuating ..ie not constant isnt that a bit of a problem. it started after i had to fill up petrol once. from a rather sinister place(near my old college)
but after about 80-90 Km it became normal again. but sometimes the prob returns.Just your friendly neighborhood panda. @thebigfatlazypanda

Thts a typical tuning problem. Tell ur svc guys to tune it for performance [not lean not rich...people in svc have a tendency to mk it lean LAME:/]

Here they change it without demanding... but about rpm do check Engine Heatness that's all I can say , wait for expert comment....Originally posted by vivekgautams View PostWhy does the idle rmp (automatically) goes up-to 2-2.5 k rmp after ripping in traffic(20-30 km)or after every highway ride.??Is it some serious issue..??
Do TVS svc check & top-up brake fluid according to service manual or we need to demand for it..??
