Ideally the SVC should do it, but this being India I doubt that is the case.

        Hi fellow rtr owners!
I had just got my first bike which is a white rtr 180, it has almost 49k on odo.
I'm just overwhelmed with the bike! but as I'm a noob and don't know much about the bikes history i took it to the SVC for a check up and they said the engine is in perfect condition. The chain sprocket kit and side stand needs to be changed and some brake overhauling and minor adjustments to be done and quoted me a price around 3k-3.5k.
I wanna know if what they're quoting is legit?
Another problem is my RTR is perfect with it's performance but the mileage is around 32-33 kmpl while i'm not even harsh on it.
what can be the reason for that as I suppose that is quite low.
        Thanks in advance

Well for RTR 180 that seems fine . Though you may ask ASC fellas to fiddle with carburetor but then performance will take a hit. IMHO these bikes are not for mileage conscious people.
If it's a bs3 model then you will surely notice that it can easily outrun even Apache 200 in top speed. Enjoy the performance of the beast

            Thanks for replying mate!
Actually, I'm not craving for mileage. I just wanted to make sure that there's nothing wrong with the engine.

No point getting it tuned all the way for mileage just ask service center to keep the carb settings to stock. And make sure you get it serviced on time and it will do just fine.

Thumb rule of carburetor tuning, do not TUNE a STOCK carburetor on a STOCK motorcycle, unless carburetor is being overhauled.

Keep all values at stock and let it stay there.

I have another doubt, that is when i put my bike on double stand and put it in gear, the wheel keeps rotating even after pressing the clutch lever completely.
When standing on red light I've noticed that the bike tends to move forward if it's in gear and the clutch lever is pressed completely. Not with a lot of force but a little bit.
I've tried adjusting the clutch but no use
what can be the cause and how to fix it?

Not an issue, there would be minimal drag due to friction and pressure plates being in close proximity, you only need to be worried if there is considerable transfer of torque, in which case your pressure plates are warped, due to overuse of clutch.

You are supposed to shift to neutral when waiting in traffic.

                      Thanks for the help
Noticed another thing after starting my bike today
after the engine warmed up, there is this "tick tick" sound every 4-5 seconds from the engine compartment.
                      This started happening over night.

                        Ignore and ride on.

Only be worried if there is consistent noise.

After a night of rain, my Apache 180 RTR's battery was down. I started it by kick. The electrical systems were ok except for the horn.
When I press the horn button, the panel goes to reset mode.
I charged my battery to more than 12 V and fitted back. Just pressing the horn drains my battery to around 10.5 V.

Horn works intermittently when riding without battery.
I doubt the horn relay, but could not locate it. Does Apache 180 has horn relay? if so, where it is located?

These are stock horns, vehicle model RTR 180, year 2009.

Get the battery load tested in a battery shop, and replace if needed. Please don't ride the bike without battery, apache's ignition coil uses battery quite like a car. AFAIK there is no horn relay in apache. If the battery is fine, there may be issue in the horn itself.

                                Hello guys!
I was planning to install LED indicators on my RTR 180, replacing the stock ones.
I wanted to know if that's legal to do?
Or will i be facing problems with the cops if i do that?
I was planning to go for the KTM ones. Can anyone please shed some light on this
