Re: TVS Apache RTR 180
My Apache RTR 200 sticker on the right side of the tank cover is peeled off, it is making my bike look ugly. I believe it is done by kids around my near by houses.
Where can i get the apache sticker, does svc has this, or can i place an order in SVC.

Re: TVS Apache RTR 180
TVS' site says there are two authorized stockist/distributor of parts in Chennai. One is Ramkay, Adyar and Popular Auto Parts in GP road. Have you tried asking at these places ? You can get the numbers from TVS or Justdial.Originally posted by hemnath View PostCan somebody help on getting the sticker kits??

No luck, as both are asking me to get the tank scoops instead of the stickers. What crap it its.

Re: TVS Apache RTR 180
They can order the tape/sticker set separately. Persuade them to order - they refused? Try another (big) dealer or complain to TVS. I once asked for an airfilter skeleton (the mesh and it's gaskets for RTR160), they refused saying I have to buy an entire airbox assembly.Originally posted by hemnath View PostNo luck, as both are asking me to get the tank scoops instead of the stickers. Re: TVS Apache RTR 180
Hello Guys,
I have the first gen Apache RTR 180 and have completed 66000 kms on it. Its an awesome bike.
I have to change both my front and back tires as they are totally worn out and my rear tire has 7 punctures, so have to change it asap.
I have changed my rear tire once to Michelin Pilot sporty 120/80 which were bigger than the stock rear tire, but it was perfect fit and I didn't faced a single issue on it.
Completed 40000 kms on it. I didn't change the front that time.
Now I am planning to change both of them and have to do it urgently owing to the 7 punctures.
Please suggest the best tires.
I am planning on the MRF Zapper C 120/80 section as the Michelin Pilot sporty had very poor wet grip and i struggled a lot of it. I would recommend that it has very good dry grip but zero wet grip and its a nightmare in the Bangalore rains.
How is the MRF Zapper C 120/80 as rear tire ??
Also please suggest the front tire as well as I haven't changed it even once in the total 66000 kms.
Thank you.

Hands down THE best tyre you can get. Using is for last 28k kms and it has never let me down.
Rear - MRF Zapper C, Vyde, Revz, TVS Remora
Previously used Revz 120/80-R17 Radial. Good tyre but have some wet grip issues. Recently switched to Remora. Seems good so far.

Will MRF Zapper C 120/80 section be a perfect fit ?
Also isn't our front tire with 90/90-17 size ?? Front - MRF Zapper FY1 90/80-17 will be ok ??
Thank you.

As for the front, 90/80 fits perfectly and I didn't observe any handling issues also. Dry and wet grip is also phenomenal.Last edited by kdevdatta; 05-04-2018, 07:36 PM.

Got some updates from the local MRF dealer in my area.Originally posted by kdevdatta View PostI have used Revz 120/80 on my RTR160. So Zapper C should fit perfectly.

He doesn't have the zapper c in 120/80 size, but has it in the 110/80 and insisted that it is the best for 2400 Rs
He has the revz model for 3400 rs.
On the front tire side he doesn't have the zapper FY1 model.
He has the fs model for 1900.
The MRF ZAPPER C 120/80 R17 is available on amazon, but i don't know the quality assurance of it.
Should I buy the tires from online or source it locally from a shop guy.
Any pointers?
Thank you.Last edited by sujithbvm; 05-07-2018, 01:10 PM.

Local shops are better since you can personally check the manufacturing date and overall condition of the tyre.Originally posted by sujithbvm View PostGot some updates from the local MRF dealer in my area.

Zapper C 110/80 is perfect size for RTR actually. Go for it.
Try to source FY1, if possible, from MRF Exclusive stores. Others dealer usually don't stock FY1, as per my experience in Pune.
