    Guys, i wanted to know if we could replace the sprocket set with either the victor glx (41/13 teeth) or bajaj discover 150cc (44/14 teeth) sprocket set.
    Or please advice me which sprocket set i Should go for, for cruising. I like touring, and would like it to cruise easily without strain at 100kmph.
    Apache rtr 160 BTW!

      Use the 14 teeth sprocket at the front. That should be suffice for cruising.

        Guys, does anyone have this problem, where the chain is adjusted for proper slackness, but after riding for a few kms, it becomes so tight and starts making noises(like ktrk.ktrk)?? I have this problem since a long time..then again i have to losen the axle bolts and re-adjust it. Even after getting it done from the service station this problem was seen. Why's this problem?

          Facing same problem in RTR 200. Don't have any solution to this problem though!!

              Improper Rear Wheel alignment during chain adjustment process could caused this problem. You need to adjust the alignment nuts (#10) on both sides to get it rectified. Your rear axle rod needs to be perfectly 90°to the song arm. If it was mistakenly set @ 85°, after a ride the axle rod would try to adjust itself to 90° angle which makes your chain even more tight. Try it out or give it to experienced mechanic for a few bucks~₹20

                Yes I know that would happen.. i adjust the wheel alignment too, using a measuring tape, and also i check for proper 35-45mm slackness. That's what makes it bizarre.

                      Guys, i recently did a long ride, Bengaluru to Chikmagaluru. I noticed that the bike wouldn't go more than 100 without feeling strained. My bike has done 11700kms now. What astonished me more is that, guys on FZ v2.0, were easily overtaking me, with pillion, whereas i alone on the bike was struggling to do 100kmph. (RTR 160 btw) is this common?

                        Clean your carburetor & airfilter and check your tps & throttle cable. If this doesn't solve your problem then take it to your trusted mechanic or svc. 👍

                          Thank you! But throttle cable is alright and I've cleaned the airfilter myself. Also the chain started getting tighter i had to stop several times jus to re adjust the chain.
                          May be I've to check the tps. What exactly should i check in the tps?

I was re-adjusting the chain and axel, and noticed that while tightening the axel bolt, it used to move the axel slightly backwards, making it go out of alignment, and hence the chain tightens, as explained by jeevamaestro. Try to check this may be it'll solve the problem. I haven't had this problem in a while now.
