Want to reduce kilos, get rid of headlight, saree guard, stands, tank shrouds, side body panels, but just dont screw your engine.

PS You can reduce your weight too (jk)
That exhaust was tuned for the bigbore
Even DVJ's bike doesnt really go well with that exhaust but I had a tuned exhaust made for my RTR 160, it ran without any problem and no damage to the engine.

Even with big bore, my friends faced problems with our "race engineer".
DVJ's exhaust was my exhaust. He got it from me
Nonetheless his bike is one of the best maintained RTR I have ridden.

We had made and installed our own designed pipe for my RTR 160, it worked well with my bike
Didnt cause any engine problem either.

              Hey guys, newbie here.
I am planning to get an RTR 180 in the coming months, and the level of love shown for the bike on this thread makes me feel that it will surely be a good buy.
I'm put up in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru. Wanted to know which is the best showroom near Nagarbhavi/Vijaynagar.
Also wanted to know if the showroom guys tend to skimp on some things, or something (s) that might need a thorough look.

              Thanks and regards.

Woah thats cool. How can i get it done? And from whom in Bangalore? I am actually thinking to replace the stock 160 with stock 180's pipe, but cut it near the rider's foot peg, and put a slip on exhaust can. How would that be?

You should have bought the rtr 180's carb only. Using other carburettors only creates more and more tuning problems unless a proper mechanic knows. With pulsar carburetor you might need to work on re-jetting on a trial and error method to get the proper setting. My suggestion get a stock carb of rtr 180 and have a peaceful time. Else use the pulsar 180's carb and maybe you could gain a lot of knowledge trying to get the perfect setting.

Since you've already bought the pulsar's carburettor, first heat up the engine, go for a ride for 2-3kms, then get it tuned. Then cool the engine. Try to start. If it starts then good. Otherwise, take a flat head screwdriver, and search for a screw closer to the engine, or ask the mechanic where the "fuel adjustment" screw is, then mark the original position of the screw.
Now if you turn the screw anti-clockwise(to your left) then the mixture will be lean, and if you turn the screw towards right, you will get rich mixture. Try different settings. And whichever works. Keep it. But dont forget the original position of the screw.
I am not an expert in explaining, maybe you'll get whatever I've explained.
One more thing, check your clutch cable, i had this problem on my unicorn 150. The clutch was not disengaging fully because the clutch cable was stretched,so at idling it would turn off. After i changed the clutch cable it was fine. You don't have to change the cable, first check for adjustment.

There's a major dealer on Rajkumar road. I guess it's Bridgestone TVS. Else, look at Prakruthi TVS at Jalahalli. Both these are capable of servicing ABS too while the other TVS service do not have this feature. Hope you are buying the ABS version! [emoji4]

Most probably the tire might not be aligned correctly or the sprocket adjustment might not be correct on the left and right of the swing arm.
