    Visit 1
to Service Centre - For second Service

No Issues as of now. Had just gone to get the scheduled service done at around 2.5kms at At 2500km i had given for second service, at the ramkay tvs medavakkam .Service done and bike was delivered.
On returning, I started facing the famous hiccup and stall issue on my rtr 180 .he bike has hiccups near about 3-4k rpm in 3rd and 4th gears. Also in lower gears with sudden increase in throttle.
I had no such issues until my 2nd service. SVC has screwed up something.
    Visit 2 :
The bike had hiccups while riding. I went and detailed the issue to an engineer and he took the bike for a spin and said that there are no issues and they wont touch the carb during service , unless complained.
    Visit 3:
In a weeks time the hiccups increased and at the end it didnt even start in the mornings. So i had the bike taken to the service station in a carrier vehicle and they said there is dust in the carb. It has been cleaned and the issue wont occur.
    Visit 4:
On the very next day i was able to feel the issue again. When i took it to service centre the issue was not occcuring for some reason. So the guys asked me to come only when i could show the issue to them.

I am worried about this state of my 3 month old bike. Should i tune the carb myself following the online instructions.
My current carb tune done by the svc guys is 1.5 turns from the leanest possible mixture. Is 1.5 turns normal or too lean.

Is there any factory number of turns or revolutions of the fuel screw like 2 or 3 for the rtr 180?

Or should i hunt for some other service center. Help Please

My issue has been resolved. I took the bike to another service centre where 2 mechanics took my bike for a ride and came to a conclusion. They pointed out that the issue was with the xt cable (or ht , I m not sure what it was) which had been tampered with. They said that it was slightly cut. It could have occured due to the guys in the previous service centre.
They have replaced something called flood cap.Charged me 200 INR for the same. It is the part on top of the spark plug. They ve taped it.

They told me that if the issue occurs again they would have to replace the entire xt cable with coil and that could be done under warranty.
Ive tested the bike for a week now and I dont see that issue anymore.

Thanks guys prateek2210 ,RohIIT ,sun105 ,John P Daniel for your inputs. Highly appreciated.

I have tried that as well, but unfortunately it does not fit clip on handlebars on our bikes. Its useful for long handlebars only.
In some moto-vlogs, I have seen tank covers with a transparent window on top to keep your mobile phone. If you are not particular about a holder (as such) and don't use tankbags much, maybe this will work for you. You can even modify a tank cover to add a mobile compartment on top.

An added advantage of this setup is that you can keep your mobile phone free of dirt and rain.

      Hope that helped.

Tank bag is on my buy list. But for now I will surely look into buying tank covers with transparent top cover for keeping my cell phone.

How many of you are upgrading to 200??? Had this launched 2 years back, I would have got it instead of the CBR.

It can't really be called as an upgrade if you move from 160 or 180cc to 200cc and with a mere 3-5bhp jump..

However, it would be a great first bike for anyone..

Ye, But considering the pathetic Svc from Honda, I would have got another TVS, rather than the Honda. :P
Any ways, SVC varies from place to place.
But still, its an worthy upgrade from 180 I believe- with ABS, FI and PSD.

Svc differs from place to place.you should have a friendly relationship with them to get the work done.I have a hornet and just now I came back from 1st service.it was done in 45 mins flat due to good relationship with a mechanic. Also the cost was 344 rupees only.

When you click on the reply option, scroll down and you will see a separate tab/section titled "Attachments". There will be an option titled "Manage Attachments". That is your file uploader, click on that and a dialog box will open where you can "Add Files" for uploading.

Just the front tyres. The rear is 130 section. Pirelli's are very good but they are bit heavy. The additional 3bhp of the 200 will be helpful here.
