Sorry, can't help in decoding of the chassis number as I do not own a TVS. May be other RTR owners can help.
No Problem, I'll try to figure it out somehow & would share also if the info seems authentic..

Also, please let me know if there is an RTR200 in the showroom, the next time you visit.

    Thanks.
Point Noted & rectified bro !!

No, there was none in the showroom when I went for booking. On inquiring about the time frame, "RTR 200" is expected to hit the showrooms: I was told -- Mostly by End of march or Mid of April... Will clarify once again if I go next time.

Btw, I seems to be stuck in a vicious circle, with Anjali Motors. The manager called me today & informed that there is no new of the "Matt Blue "vehicle. He also mailed the Dealer's Relationship Manager many times, but could not fetch any solid information. he said, it all depends on the Production lot. (Today at least he genuine & was ashamed of not being able to deliver as per commitment.)...

Now I am really wondering if I should really take the "Matt Blue" bike ???
Reason:- When TVS is unable to provide the delivery of this "Matt Blue Apache RTR 180 ABS" -- (just recently launched)... Am sure, I might face a huge problem in terms of body colored spare parts too.. Isn't it ??? (God Forbid, in case I need one in future)

    Please suggest !!

Buy the 200. Spares of the matt blue color are tough. My friend has a 160 matt blue, met with an accident and the tentative date to fix it given to him is minimum 15-20 days.

Please buy the 200 you'll never regret.

Well... There you go !! I was "spot on" with my doubt..
Thanks for the heads up mate !!

Now, as far as RTR 200 goes, sadly its gonna be a long wait till (at least till mid/end of April -- for ABS model) I can test ride one...
But, nonetheless I'm seriously about dropping the idea of the Matt Blue color for sure.. Infact, I might even cancel my Order soon !!

Happy Riding Guys.. & Thanks for all your valuable suggestions.. Sayonara !!

Its in the showrooms. Delivery will start this weekend. Try finding main dealer, not additional dealer. Main dealer : company owned.
Get the 200 much superior product in every way. I have a 180, might sell it off by June and get a Fi+abs+pirelli RTR200.

            Hello Folks,

FYI.. Had a word with the Manager from Anjali Motors today.

Bad News 1(personal): No update about the "MATT BLUE RTR 180 ABS" vehicle, I Booked.
Good News 1(personal): He at least agreed to refund the Booking amount= 5K (without any deductions)...

Bad News 2 (Global): Only 1 or 2 RTR vehicle/showroom, would be available for display/test ride purpose only, tentatively by First week of April 2016. Showrooms might open booking for the RTR200, but the actual bikes for delivery would only be available by the start/mid of May, 2016. He infact was sure that, only the Carb & FI base versions would be available for sale in the starting days. The ones with Pirelli tyres might be available after few days. No news of ABS version to be in production still & hence no idea about its availability...

TVS tyres at 17k kms is still half of its age. Check zapper c, using it for 20k kms now, can vouch for it.

Used Zapper C with pillion on black ice, I would say its perfect for Ladakh trip , even other daily rides too

Start the bike, use a small piece of paper near the exhaust head joint. See if any gas is coming out or not, if yes, get it checked.
My bike's exhaust is all rusted still going strong. Only way to stop it is getting it powder coated again

Last week i have rebored my apache rtr180 engine ,

                1) What should I Do & do not after rebore ?

                2) Is there any speed limitation for certain kilometer like new bike ?

                3) I have purchased Motul 7100 20W50 Engine oil , shall i use this engine oil to my bike ?

                4) Actually I use this bike mainly for long drive (i.e 250 Km ) is it good ?

                  @xerlein

                  1. Run in the engine as you would on a new bike i.e no high revving and no hard acceleration(Until you decide to follow motoman's run-in method).
Reason- It's a new piston and will take some time to set itself by rubbing with the bore.

                  2. You can do speeds upto 60 Kmph in top gear on your RTR 180.
Follow the same for atleast 500 Kms.
Reason- High revs can possibly not allow the piston to set with the bore properly and the rings can be damaged.

                  3. No, Use Motul 7100 after completing 1st 500 Kms.
Reason - Motul 7100 is a Fully Synthetic oil and it will be too smooth to not allow the piston and bore to rub or run in properly. Use Motul 3000 4T Plus 15W-50 as it is a mineral oil will allow a proper run in and will easily remove all the collected particles(You can also use any other mineral oil i.e 15W-50 or 20W-50). Even kawasaki N300 comes with mineral oil that needs to be changed after 800 Kms.

                  4. Yes it's good provided that this is your 1st bore on that kit.(I am not saying that 2nd or 3rd bore is bad)
Perhaps, you can get a new kit too with stock size piston if you have already rebored it several times.
Reason- the piston size keeps increasing everytime you get it bored reducing mileage and reliability.

Depending on how many Kms the bike has already covered you can also take a look at camshaft ond other engine internals which are not too expensive and can be changed when mechanic fits the new bore.

10W-40 is best suited for Honda engines(CBR 250R). If you need a better oil and you are ready to spend the money. Motul 7100 20W50 is a very good, reliable, tried and tested product. Will not only give your engine a good life but the bike will rev easy and better.
Wanna spend some more go for Double Ester Motul 300v 15W-50.Is costs close to INR1200/ Litre
Good news- Amazon is giving it for INR 778/-.
My friend an i have bought 10 of these looking at the discount. He own Apache 180 and i have P220.

Above said is only my suggestion based on my experience. Take the decission wisely.

Ride safely but don't forget to hit the redline. :-)

When i received my bike after rebore operation, bike is so smooth & causing some mild "vooooo" type of sound ?

Tvs mechanic told that ,this sound will vanish after 500km .

& he told to ride this bike with below 50KMPH with less RPM, don't rev the engine at high RPM, he used TVS semisynthetic oil . is it good ?

Whether this additional noise will create any problem ?

what about motoman's run-in method ? Please share the link .

when ever i do a self start on my apache, the digital speedometer console shuts off and on, but the bike didn't start, it starts by a kicker. is it a sign of weak battery.
