Yes. That's a sign of a weak or discharged battery.Originally posted by hemnath View Post

Re: TVS Apache RTR 180
All models of Apache except ABS ones are AC. So lights, horn works on engine generated power and not on battery like DC bikes eg. FZ16.Originally posted by hemnath View Postbut my horn, lights work very well
So even if the battery is completely dead, your bike will start with kick and horns and lights will work.

Just inspected the bike myself. The indicators, horns and the Speedometer console work fine when the bike on (but the engine is off.). Haven't tested the pass switch.Originally posted by kdevdatta View PostAll models of Apache except ABS ones are AC. I started the bike with the kicker. Tested the indicators, Horns and headlight and tail light, everything works fine. Switched off the bike, and pressed the self start, now the digital speedometer console shuts off and then back on. I am afraid that i don't want to do it again often, as the speedometer will malfunction.
Do i have to check for anything else before going for a battery replacement.

Although it's unlikely, check for any short-circuits before you put your money out.Originally posted by hemnath View Post

Apache ABS not working after battery recharge
Hey fellow riders..
I own a TVS Apache RTR 180 abs(2014 model) I've been facing the issue of no self start for a few weeks now.. So I decided to go to the nearest garage and get my battery recharged.. It was a local garage, but then I thought you don't need a authorized service center for battery recharge..
After recharging the battery, my electrical connection seems to be a bit off.. The headlights, horn, and indicators are working, but the speedometer, odometer and abs are not..its even more confusing as the display is working absolutely fine.. I see 0 in the speedo, and my odo reads some old record (probably the reading just before removing the battery..)
With no abs working, I don't feel great riding the bike at high speeds.. If anyone knows how to get it fixed by myself, I'd be grateful forever.. Or if anyone knows a trustworthy mechanic who can fix this, please do let me know..

Please check all the connections of the battery & the starter motor. See if there is a cut in any of the wires.TVS Apache RTR 180 (2014 - ….)
