I am planning on going for REVZ radial 120 for the rear and R15 V2's front tire. good choice? any other suggestions for the front?

I'm not sure as to why MRF released a radial tyre with the same name. The tread pattern appears to be the same as the old one. Actually the new radial tyre is from the "NV series".

Please search the thread. The 120 section tyres have been discussed in great depth.
Yes, while the tread pattern might be the same, as its a radial I don't think its going to Crack like yours did.

Donno about the price...apache 200 comes with it as an option....it may be between 3k to 5k I guess....r15 v2 tyre is a good pick but you will face little Speedo error

              • Apache 180 ABS front tire

I have a second-hand Apache 180 ABS, manufactured 2014 January, with the older TVS tires. Total driven: 17,000 km. Recommend new tire for the front, and maybe back as well. The old one is 90/90-17. I'm considering: MRF FQ, MRF FX, MRF FX1, MRF FY2, and TVS Remora (the new TVS tires) for the front. For city use in Chennai, and weekend highway fun. Only mod done: front sprocket was changed from 14T to 13T (from Apache 160). Recommendations?

Is R15 V2.0's rear tyre a direct fir for our RTR 180?
According to specs the tyre size is 130/70-R17 and for RTR its 110/80 17.

I need suggetions to replace rear tyre for my Ladakh trip. Will the MRF Zapper C TL will be a good choice?

I own a Apache 160 rtr, for the past 2 days i am getting different sound from the exhaust. on closer inspection, the sound is produced from the exhaust that joins the Engine bore. what could be the issue. I feel the sound is like there is a hole in the exhaust (my exhaust is showing some rusting), but i have examined the exhaust completely there are no such wholes in it. Could it the Exhaust gasket???

                      1) Good if done from reputed place
                      2) Its a gamble, anything goes wrong, everything will have to be done again, if done right, you will have a "new feel" engine
                      3) Search it in last few pages, discussed. I would say AX7
                      4) Only if you want the electricals to be DC, or else there is no need if you are using stock lighting

TVS tyres at 17k kms is still half of its age. Check zapper c, using it for 20k kms now, can vouch for it.

Used Zapper C with pillion on black ice, I would say its perfect for Ladakh trip , even other daily rides too

Start the bike, use a small piece of paper near the exhaust head joint. See if any gas is coming out or not, if yes, get it checked.
My bike's exhaust is all rusted still going strong. Only way to stop it is getting it powder coated again

Try the zapper vyde. 120 section. Will fill the rtr profile without a problem. Good wet & dry grip

7100 is 20w50 so it will take a lot of time to warm up. Try the motul 5100 15w50. Its semi synthetic. Costs around Rs.540. I am using it for the past 3 months & 1400kms. Works very well. Just needs 2 minutes to warm up. Good enough for 2500kms if ur a tourer. If only a city rider then can clock more than 3k kms. Check the oil level regularly around 1k kms. Sometimes it tends to vapourise. But it didnt in my case

Be careful on this i have tried two types tyres 100 and 120 instead of 110 for rtr 180,
At first u will feel good, but 5000 km u will find hard on rear tyre,

Rtr180 is r&d tested by 110 80 tyres, and its also stable,
If u use other size the following problem will occur,
                            1) rear tyre center part worn out soon.
                            2) it will feel hard to cornering, because if center area is leaching means the other two sides will remain safe, soon after sometime u will notice flatness of tyre instead of curve profile.
                            3) Mileage will drop
                            4) inner warm temperature of tyre, when at friction will fully work for curve profile of two wheelers,
                            5) high rev speed will differ
                            6) other than that both the tyre should be at same brand and profile, they are interconnected,
                            7) for example if u use tvs tyres at front and mrf tyres at rear means, profile radius and depth corner lay differ and we will find hard to cornering or such thing,

Have been using the Zapper C 120/80/17 for 18000kms now. No issues apart from speedo error.

Say if it was 45kmph before, it shows 48kmph now.

Other than that, no issues. Yes sometimes with full load the tyre touches the mud guard below the seat. But nothing to be worried about.
I would suggest Zapper Vyde. Much better than C. Friend using it on his 180ABS.

Get your exhaust fitted properly. Seems like the exhaust bolts from the engine are loose. They are Alan keys, happened with mine long back. Generally happens when people literally park their bike on your silencer.
