Guys has anyone used MOTUL 3100 4T 20W40? How does it behave on our RTRs?
I've been using shell ax7 and it's time to change so should i go for motul 3100(mineral) or stick to semi synthetic??

Not gonna make very big difference, stick to what you feel is making difference rest does not matter.

      My favorite is Shell AX7.

Will try motul once then! What would be the drain interval for mineral oil by the way?
        Thanks mate![emoji4]

A friend had used the 3100 in his fz long back. It had lasted around 2500 km. Expect it to last around 2000 in our apache's. But still it would be good to check for the usual oil change signs like hard shifts & slow pick up. By the way he did mention that the oil takes around 300km to warm up & work to its full potential.

Check Engine oil every 500 km (since it is very easy to check).

my bike's pickup has gone down and the engine has become somewhat harsh.. now i can experience vibrations from the foot pegs![emoji20] sometimes the gear slips from 3rd to 2nd! Clutch plates to blame here?? It has run only for about 1700kms after i changed oil to ax7.

Maybe the clutch plates are nearing the end of their life.
OTOH, what's the condition of the chain? Is it lubed/maintained with proper slack?
                Guys, issue solved!
Clutch plates were worn out. Changed the clutch plates and filled Motul 3000, engine has become smooth again! There are some vibrations yet, as the oil is still new and needs to settle.
                Thanks for your inputs guys![emoji4]
Will be writing a review on motul soon!

There are good options available in KTM, Benelli, Honda.
Honda is launching new bike this week.

The next bike i will be buying on my own and dont have a huge budget.
Honda CBR 250R - its a great bike, very smooth and reliable but it doesnt suit my needs.
P.s - my brother already owns one.

Benelli tnt 300 - haven't ridden one yet but its out of my budget anyways

KTM DUKE/RC - these are vfm but im not so keen on buying one. Even if i buy one, it will be like "kuch aur toh nai hai, chalo yeh hi le lo" (nothing else is available, just get this one)

Kawasaki ninja 300 - love this one and wanted to own this but again way over my budget

So only option left are desi bikes, i still have a year till i buy a new bike so till then i'll wait and see.

Cant trust TVS, if no other option is left then duke 390 is the way to go.
But still have a year before i upgrade so hope i get new options.

Can't trust ? I would advise to stay away from Bajaj/KTM as recently they are suffering from serious quality issues.I would say save up and get a decent 250cc Bike like HX250R,Hyosung GD/GT 250R,TNT25,Ninja 250

I mean can trust tvs on the launch of their new bike, a 200/220 cc apache had been rumored for several years but we never got to see one in production and like i said i am waiting for tvs - bmw to launch their bike and i will be buying a new bike next year and i guess i will have more options by then.

You are saying to stay away from KTM snd suggesting Hyosung? Please compare the service history of both KTM and Hyosung and see what users have to say.

HX250R : A bike that was once showcased and which was to be built with the help of EBR, which is now closes, you are suggesting it!!!!

The new Ninja250 is single cylinder unlike a parallel twin which gives it renowned smoothness and that tempting stoxk exhaust sound. Plus I still havent seen any one on road yet, suggesting again a bike that on papers?
