Update on Motul 5100 15W50:
I've run the bike for 220 kms after i changed the oil to motul and i have to say it's a really good substitute for our beloved AX7. I found it to be better than shell in some departments.
Pros:
1.Gearshifts are butter smooth. You'll just love it!
2.Once the oil warms up, the bike responds amazingly to throttle inputs.
3. Very less vibrations.
Cons:
1. As it is a 15w50 oil, it takes some time to warm up.
5100 is priced at Rs.545/litre which is a bit on the higher side compared to ax7 but i felt that it's really worth that extra penny!
Thanks a lot for the update brother. I will be looking for your updates in future as well. Do update us in 1000km intervals if possible from your side.
Does the mileage take a hit ??

I will surely update here after i complete 1000kms buddy! There is a negligible drop in mileage, not too much. But it takes some 3-4 kms of riding to warm up. When the oil is cold, idle rpm goes down(if your idle rpm is 1k it will fluctuate between 0.9,0.7) and sometimes engine will shut off. So better to keep the idle upto 1.2k and within 5 mins of riding it will stay there and will not fluctuate.
Once the oil warms up, you'll be amazed by the throttle response for sure

Wow !!
I am really tempted to use the motul.
My shell oil has done close to a 1000kms but somehow the vibrations are ever increasing. They were well contained from 200-600kms but after that its vibrating like hell . Cant ride the bike for 30minutes straight. U need a break.

I had this same problem with shell after 1200kms buddy! Even foot pegs were vibrating like anything!:banghead:
Lets see how well motul holds up. As of now vibrations are very minimal

Ditto my case.
My mum complained about these ever vibrating rear footpegs while she was my pillion . She said that someone did a 3rd quality feet massage.

Hey guys!!
I am facing a problem with the engine shutting off abruptly when I start riding out in 1st gear from N.
Sequence:
i)Bike idling in N from cold start for 3-4 mins.
ii)Engage 1st gear, give throttle, engine died. (Clutch not released yet).

This happened a few times. And then suddenly all became good and I started riding. Rode for a good 20 kms, no problems. Then again the same problem next morning.
I have just got my bike serviced last week. Put in TVS tru4 synthetic oil.

andy0104 What is the idling rpm when tou first start it in the morning?
Secondly, have you recently checked spark plug color? If yes, what is it, brown black or normal?

Hey prateek2210;
The idling rpm is below 1K in the morning when I start the bike. I let it idle for about 3-4 mins and rpm hover around 1K but it is not stable and move between 1K and little below. I recently switched to tvs tru4 synthetic oil during my 2nd service last week. Haven't checked the spark plug though. I am new to biking and does not know how to check the spark plug. If you could guide me how to take out the spark plug and check the condition of it, it would be very helpful. Thanks in advance.

It shuld be around 1200rpm, your afr mixture is not correct, go to the svc and ask them to fix it. 5minute job

Went to SVC. The mechanic adjusted the clutch and idling. It seems to be ok now. But will check on cold starts.

Thank you Initially the bike made some squeaking noise. Went to the SVC and there was a young guy who revved the new bike hard. Decided never to go back there.
Went to another scv and got the issue fixed.Seems they greased something under the tank
