another concern i have is the vibrations have increased post 4K i just poured in Shell oil yesterday, will it become smoother or is it time take my bike to the SVC?
It will become smoother bro. Nothing to worry. You said you poured shell yesterday, give it some time to settle. After running for about 50-100 kms it should become smooth and the vibrations should reduce. The same thing happened in my case.

Give it atleast 200-300 kms to settle the engine oil as it takes such.after that the vibes should definitely decrease

If I try to rotate the rear wheel when the bike is in gear and I'm engaging the clutch, I see a loss in freeness. The rear wheel feels as if the brake is pressed. But if I disengage the gear (put the bike in neutral), the rear wheel rotates freely.

The acceleration is unpredictable - sometimes lethargic and sometimes unexpected. I also noticed an increase (is that even possible!?) in engine braking - there is a considerable jerk when I roll off the throttle. Also, the bike shuts down unexpectedly (when in slow speeds, clutch engaged) and sometimes the rpm continuously lingers at 3-4k rpm (idling after riding) even when clutch is engaged. The gear shifts are ragged and hard too.

I'm guessing there is some problem with the clutch? clutch-plate? Or is it something else?

        Help please!

        Additional info:

        Odo: 11750+ kms.
Oil: TVS mineral, less than 200 kms done.
Last service at 11500 kms. Changed spark plug too.

Tvs mineral oils take some time to keep up with the engines.. Use Shell instead.. Shell advance Ax7 is a synthetic based one and good one too.. But not semi-synthetic..

The reason for choosing TVS mineral this time was to upgrade to Shell AX7 after about 1500kms. But how does that explain the clutch problem?

Off-topic, I see you're from CBE. Any good mechanics that I can go to, and get a complete inspection / tuning done? Iron out the minor nags?

I usually give mine to Lotus Tvs at mettupalayam road.. They have a good service backup..

                Have you tuned carb ..
Afr mix is leaned out I guess or air is leaking in to make it lean.

The very mention of carb tuning makes the mechanics go on about how vary you should be when operating on the ABS model. I guess I will look at the spark plug and decide if it's a AFR issue. And any tuning will have to be done by me, as they refuse to do touch the carb. :/

Probably a looser Cable connecting the Starter from the battery. You can check it.Inspect the Starter Motor too.

Its a starter relay issue. Either its damaged or not getting enough power. Battery connection may be loose.

Hello, i need a help of yours.
                                I own 2015 Apache RTR180
                                ODO- 14534kms
The handle bar of my bike starts vibrating anywhere between 3k upto redline. ( i know rtr vibrates but in my case the vibrations are damn higher) + the sound of my bike is bit different from other rtrs. it is not free raving like others. (i use shell advance ax-7 10w40)
bike idles at 1.2k rpm but if i leave my bike idling slowly it comes to 0.9k-0.8k and gets off. and when ever i fire engine i get smell of petrol. i have no idea from where it comes. there is noise of tik tik from engine head. i visited sc many times but they are never helpful to me.
so, i will appreciate if i can get what exactly the solution is.
                                Thanks.
