3000 rpm....hmm AFAIK, its very unusual to get the mis-firings at just a single RPM band. In any case, I feel its either the Ignition system/Air Intake system. So try checking all these and don't forget your spark plug. Also do check for moisture in your air filter. And make sure you are not running lean [just incase ]. TPS: I don't think so. If TPS is in wrong position [anything before the "yellow" line under full throttle in the TPS] you will definitely get to notice a LAG in performance and mileage at almost all speeds.

So the question Is there any way to install Xenon Light/ White light without any side/bad effect...
if he was so particular about the Xenon's reliability he would have first done a full DC-Mod. Btw, yes. You can increase the charging rate by using more looped coils [like in RTR180 ABS] or by using a diode in the circuit which does the same job [I'm sorry I just don't know much about it]

      • So Apache 160 is based on AC ?

And that Means i can deploy Xenon/ Projector without any issue in my 180 abs beast ? Right ?

And most importantly, as i had mentioned earlier, it has a very very good reliability, as my oil hasnt yet lost its thickness nor color and still in the very same red color and can easily run for another 1.5-2k kms easily, based on my expert (known to be in business from whopping 12 yrs) mechanic. However, am not very satisfied iwith its performance, or may be my expectations are higher. Either way, I'll switch to shell and compare the difference.

You sure you were using THE motul itself ?? seriously, you are the first person to tell this. Maybe , its the expectations part. Anyways try Shell and do tell us all Ride Safe. Deploy ABS

I doubt how many watt bulb he has used. If its more than 35w, its bound to happen. The best option is to get the bike DC.

P.S : If you start the engine with the headlight on, you are doing it wrong

You can switch on your display light even when the bike's engine is OFF right? Thats why your bike is DC. So your Xenon light will have it easy. But if the rating is high, IMO you should increase the charging rate. I'm not sure on this part. Maybe someone better than me will throw light on this

              Edit: Adding...yes RTR160 RTR180 are AC/DC. RTR180ABS is Full DC.

Yep. Honestly, i do not really see a marginal difference at higher speed on Motul. Hope, it was a genuine pack. Let's see Shell this time..
Dont defeat your enemy.. destroy him. offer hope then crush it..fuel his ego then break it.. finally. deploy ABS..execute the curve..victims defeat assured.. victims confidence destroyed...!!! All with my Beast.. Racing beast....!!!!

It's one of the QUICKEST practices ever to get your headlight, especially the 35w halogen screwed

True !! but he wasn't doing it

Start Engine & then Start Headlight ... that was the procedure...

35W is Threshold ? My Stock Bulb is of 12 W i guess .. Not Sure, that mean i can increase the Voltage (Yellow light only) for better lightening.

I have never seen my bike's air/oil filter cleaned, spark plug cleaned, brake fluid changed, etc, even after 6 services... In fact ,I went to get the tappets adjusted y'day & after the quick fix,the dumb mechanic in TVS svc had not connected the petrol pipe to the carb. & when I went for a test ride petrol started flowing out onto the road..So, I went back to the mech. , he shows me the "no care" attitude... This is the condition of TVS svc in B'lore..
Exactly. My bike's air filter has never seen real world after it was fitted at the factory. In fact, all the things stated in your second sentence have been part of my experience too. The only things those idiots do are wash the bike, pour some lubricants. Change the engine oil if required. That's the condition of most of the TVS SVCs in Karnataka, not just BLR. Have heard some bad stories from other states too.

BTW, Which SVC do you visit?

I have experienced the misfiring(not prominent) cum lag issue at the above mentioned RPM, CLEANED the SPARK PLUG& the TPS , some setting was done on the latter & BANG, both the issues vanished for the good..i was told that cleaning the spark plug took care of the minor misfiring & setting the TPS took care of the lag, altough i do experience the lag occasionally..apart from these two options the ones you have mentioned, also should be taken into consideration.its good in the longer run.

Trust me Shahbaz, initially even i refused to buy the claims that said TVS tru4 is crap, but now i feel i am running my ride without any oil,the engine becomes so damn hot, my friend who had the 160 went over to petronas(original) FS & then there was no looking back for him,he told me that the bike never felt so rev happy & new.

Well, its the same case here in mumbai.."PATHETIC" is an understatement that can be used to describe these morons, no training, no ettiquette , no hygeine, false egos...you name it,you have it...its just the TVS "uniform" that seperates them from the ordinary mechanics outside TVS,some even skip the uniform & are seen in "Being Human" tees !! Salman Fans i say.
