HI guys....please help me with the above queries...Originally posted by pankajsingh5k View PostHi guys...
when one goes for warranty do they ask to show the servicing receipts or just the entry in the bike manual is enough?????
and why does the front suspension feels very stiff when going over potholes...it sounds like a thud and i am worried it may cause damage to the front suspension...??

The manual book is enough for warranty claims.Originally posted by pankajsingh5k View PostHI guys....please help me with the above queries...
Yes a particular batch of 180s face the issue of stiff front suspension. Even my bike has the same problem. I am awaiting for those parts which will be sent by TVS. Will let you know in details.
The 'thud' noise can be rectified by checking/replacing the shock absorber oil. The noise will go away but the front will still feel stiff.

@Drifty :For now your bike is new so take it easy....after 6 months you can consider the options...also a lot of people say they do teflon coating but instead they just wash the bikes and put polish....so have a gud understing of what will be the procedure with the guy/place from where u will be getting it done....
for the time being buy shampoo , polish and wax for your bike....they will help in keeping her protected and shining...
congrats for ur new bike

I am too expriencing the same problem...infact I was untill i did my 3rd service on 14th Aug....that nose is due to Fork mis allignment...i also tght may be coz of oil level or something...but thn i figured out its coz of the miss allignment...they didnt correct it on 2nd service...but this time i made sure that those guys take it seriously ! ! !Originally posted by chicane1879 View PostThe manual book is enough for warranty claims.

...newazz got it done...went for a test ride before i gave them a green that everythng is fine....rode really hard and braked hard too....it has dissappeard but i can still feel some 15% of that ! ! !..and that too if i ride extreme..will look out for it in the coming month tho..if its popping up again or not....and apart from that my handle bars used too feel shaky...which have dissappeared quite a bit...
So tell ur SVC guys to chk the allignment..may be it will silve the purpose..and if possible replace it if it id damaged...i fell mine has taken a bit of damage..so gng to ride as hard as possible so that i can get it replaced within warranty ! ! !
Nothing feels better than to gear up and burn some rubber ! ! !

+1 to that. I tried to get the SVC to do it, but being how they are, they never did anything. But then I could feel it only in very bad roads. So I took it to an outside mech, replaced the fork oil with Valvoline fork oil, and now its all good.Originally posted by chicane1879 View PostThe 'thud' noise can be rectified by checking/replacing the shock absorber oil. @Drifty...
i have also used Roberts wax.....it costs around 40-50 for a small can just like cherry blossom shoe polish.....at first i was apprehensive about it but apparently it works gr8....my bike was beading water even after 2 weeks in the rainy season....(i put a heavy coat of it and did not buff it much)
i have also bought formula 1 wax and will be testing it soon...will tell about the results...
