2 days back I went to get my bike's tappets adjusted & get a oil leak fixed & my front brakes back in action... I realized that in the previous service ,the cylinder head which is held by 4 nuts, was not tightened at all ...The front brakes need bleeding, the genius mech. took a spanner loosened the bleeder nut, squirted the brake fluid on the disc&wheel..The best part is TVS calls for "Feed-back" of the service..You can imagine MY "Feed-back"
This is Megdooth SVC, Ulsoor & Cox Town.. The next service would be done in Srigiri TVS SVC in Tumkur.. Its opposite my college, so I can bunk a few classes & get my bike properly serviced..
OR in another month or so I'l learn & service my bike on my own..

All they do is Oil Change Filter Change Normal Wash & replacement if you have said something ....

The things which were basics but i told them to do was Brake Check, Nut Bolts Check/tightened/ Mirror Tightening

Still if you are not happy I suggest you take your bike to Bridgestone (rajkumar road) or Zen Shakti TVS in rajajinagar.

Please help me out with the exact location (any land marks) of Bridgestone (rajkumar road) or Zen Shakti TVS in rajajinagar,I'v traveled many times on Rajkumar road but was unable to find the Bridgestone.
Guys, based on my 5 years of experience on all the RTR series and 4 SVSs, i know the standard of their knowledge and hospitality we get from those morons. However, not everybody is same. In pursuit, i switched to different SVCs and swapped alot of mechs. Here is the verdict:

Always assume you are more intellect than any other mechanic in SVC and talk to them in the stubborn way. The more you demand, the better ur bike wud be. After a lot of research or mechs, i've finally sticked to one mech, in Bharath TVS, Jayanagar. He's smart enuf in knowledge (though its purely based on his experience) and more importantly, he'll hv interaction with other senior mechs, once he takes ur bike in his favor. It's been 3rd year with him now on all different Apaches of mine and he has done a pretty decent job. I would recommend him u all to get things resolved. All in all, we can rely on him for the solution of whatever issues we have.

I always give him an entire day for servicing, and he has always done a fair job on my bike and resolved most of my issues.

I had promised of posting the picture for the humming noise from rear disc on several ABS. I too had the same issue, which has been resolved through a weird but efficient solution of knotting the break cable on to the swing arm. Here is the pic...
Dont defeat your enemy.. destroy him. offer hope then crush it..fuel his ego then break it.. finally. deploy ABS..execute the curve..victims defeat assured.. victims confidence destroyed...!!! All with my Beast.. Racing beast....!!!!

nopes. actually vibes are pretty much low on the new one. especially all vibes seem to fade out at exactly 5k-6k maybe even till 7k. but after that usual story. :/ high speed vibes are pretty much the same as the old one.

One major change is that seating posture has changed pretty much to an upright one. not much leaning forward in this one. (baffled) coz dimensions are quite the same on both models right.

I have tried using the plaastic clamp but i still face the problem of humming sound coming from the rear brakes... its very irritating

                    • Guys, am no 180 owner, but own an fi myself.

my experience with the bangalore tvs svc mechs are at two places.

                      Zen Shakti TVS -

Work Done - Chassis straightening, General service, synth oil change.

Excellent place run by a very knowledgeable gentleman. one can leave the bike here and be rest assured. simple as that.

                      Meghdhoot SVC -

Work done - 1st visit- Leaking fuel pump pipe.

Getting this part was very very difficult. And in spite of their busy morning, this part was sourced and my bike fixed in 2 hours. Exceptional commitment.

2nd visit- post minor spill - > replaced footpeg asembly, general service, CO tuning

Again very prompt in response, work done well ahead of time and timely delivery ensure.

only grouse - could not source a couple of parts like grips, and inner headlamp shroud.

My experience has been that no matter what SVC a free service is treated with much disdain. unlike paid service. I wanted to post this to help someone out.

Given a choice for any major issue I do NOT hesitate to go to Zen shakti all the way from ulsoor to fix my bike. other issues, meghdhoot satisfies on all counts.

                      cheers!
                      R.I.P kriss.

Yes but only one con is the RVM..they vibrate & everything behind seems to be blurred for sometime

The bike dimensions excepting the rim size of the rear tyre remains the same. However the seat length has increased by some 10 15 cm , and that's not small
It's not about the RIDE. It's about HOW YOU ride :]

Did u do it urself or from SVC? I'm not sure if the placement of the tag should be the same or different but i dnt hv the noise anymore and even my friend's ABS. We both has very identical issues and they are gone now.
