Btw, yes it does harm the engine if done several times...I have never gone past 40kmph.
How would the speed cam bother about it? It won't gonna see if you did that in 1st or 5th cog.

P.S. I hope you have roads with atleast 50kmph as the limit.

      • Seriously, the only place to go flat out, be it corners or a straight is on a race track. Yes, we don't have one in our place. But who knows, we might... someday
        Fingers crossed.

For now lets be content that at-least we own a track tool. Lets hope for the best and that is, IMO get to ride the menace where he actually feels home.

        Ride Safe.
The Apache is ever willing to red line each cog, but the Rider ain't. Enjoy RTR, Safely. Period.

                • The front brakes of my RTR ABS was not holding what so ever.. I took her to many SVC & mechanics, it was of no use,few blamed the disc pads & few blamed it on "bleeding"..So I went to a family friend who is working in TVS, he checked the bike & concluded that the brakes needs to bleed & the disc needs cleaning(supposed to have been done during 5th service BUT it being TVS SVC..)..He also gave tips & reason of poor brakes. The dust/mud/dirt from the road settles on the disc & due to braking the disc gets scratched & pads harden up..
Lesson learnt:- Clean the disc & remove the dust/muck/sand/particles from the disc after every ride & after parking for very long time..This saves disc, pads, time, money & life...

i gave her to the SVC last monday...they did some measuring and stuff...said the bend is just a slight one..it can be repaired without replacing but will take a week or so... if what they said is right i ll be getting her this tuesday.
P.S. Insurance guys said that they wont be able to give the whole amount anyway...so i guess i better see how it goes by now...and probly change into new pair within a month or two.

Nice, you clean & maintain your bike...
Idle is around 1-1.4 k rpm... TVS svc sets it to 800 rmp or so but recommended is more than 1k rpm..

                          • TVS Apache 2012 Beast with ABS "Devils Angel"

                            Beasty Apache

Here is a Small Review again...

Model - TVS Apache 180 "ABS"
                            Color - Pearl White
                            Bought - 14 June 2012
                            ODO - 3800km
                            Servicing - 2 Completed
                            Next Servicing - 5000k -5500km
                            Average - 45-48 km/l
                            Top Speed - 120 (km/h)
Changed Engine oil Yesterday, Shell Advance 10w40

Bike Starts of Revving very Well, no Big Issues yet about Performance & Engine.

Acceleration is really a beastly one asap you open throttle it responses very well as the name says "Racing Throttle Response".

Vibration's are there but no fuss about it as it can be neglected & after adding shell its quite negligible but one cannot say Zero Vibration. Specially at 4k rpm you will Feel vibration.

Engine Exhaust note just gets better & better from 1st Cog to 4th Cog. bike is Real Fun to Ride at 3-4 Gear, You Slow down & Sudden Throttle open & you will feel the Wind gust pass your hair & pushing you back in a second.

Very Light in weight even a slim like me can enjoy flip flap & zigzag, very easy to go through slow moving traffic.

Braking is the second best part in bike yes after Pick up, quite comfortable braking power & quite easy to get confidence in your braking, Late Braking is very much possible. With ABS one cannot do a "Stop-pie", Rear Wheel Lift Off Protection works very well.

One get used to sitting position after riding it for long time, for short ride you wont feel any pain or stress.

Added Rear Flap yesterday bike looks bit cool now.

To my Surprise I am getting average of 45 minimum I was expecting it to vary between 35-40.

Changes I have noticed after Changing Engine Oil
Less Vibration at 4 & 5 Cog. (Negligible change)
Willing to touch 09k rpm, with ease.
Foot Peg is the Only victim of Vibration (IMO).
No Big Change in gear Shifting.

Now Come to Bike Cleaning & maintenance part.

                            Water Wash :-
                            Once every two week.

Roberto Liquid Polish:- 25rs 50ml (Last 3-5 Wash min.)
Its Kind a Shampoo for Bike.First I Clean Bike Dust with Water & my own Fingers [], Then Dry it by using dry clothes.
Applies this Shampoo to all Fairing Parts.
                            Very Nice Smell.
Bike Starts Shining (But not the Black part of your Bike ex- Area of Digi Console)

Moto Max Liquid :- 100 ml for Rs. 90

This is the best Thing i came Cross in my life, I mean, Seriously.

Its Basically used for Car Dashboard, As i have mentioned previously Roberto Liquid Polish do nothing to Dashboard (Black part of bike / Mirror ).
You Can apply it directly after Dusting off or cleaning with Water but I use it after applying Roberto Shampoo.
Its Kind a Glycreen or Oil, which goes over your Dashboard or the parts on which you applied it & forms a Layer a very shiny layer Specially for black colors.
Try it Once you won't Regret.

Remember not to Apply on Brake Pad's & tires as it makes surface very slippery.

                            Shaby,
                            Thanks

                            • Hey guys, I'm at 6.7K on the ODO. Planning to change oil at 7K. I've been using only mineral oil till now. So, which one would you guys suggest? Motul 3000 4T plus (mineral) or a semi synthetic one?
