No. I wash my bike myself,with descent throw speed(normal municipality pipe).But I guess the ignition has gone kaput. may be I need to change the whole set. During the power wash in first free service at a TVS SVC, water entered into the wiring & the wires were getting grounded..The Tacho-meter would do the initial check & go back to zero & all other indicator lamps on the console stopped glowing..Got the wires changed under warranty & the same console worked properly...Originally posted by sambit View PostNo. I wash my bike myself,with descent throw speed(normal municipality pipe).But I guess the ignition has gone kaput. may be I need to change the whole set. Water due to a wash/rain might be the culprit,I guess...Get the wires checked first...If your bike is under warranty,no tension..

Rpm getting stuck at 2200 rpm after riding for 30minutes or so on .. any specific reason for time being I've set my idle rpm to 1400 after riding for 30minute today...
but it makes it goes below 1000rpm when engine is cold which lead to bike stall few times early morning when engine is cold ...

I had faced the same problem before...I replaced the throttle/accelerator cable as it got cut..Ever since the change I'v not experienced the strange idle increasing problem.. It might be a worn out cable getting stuck or something like that...

Sometime I gets smell like something burning inside... And now a days I've seen Chain making irritating noise, I"ve to do chain adjustemnt & lubing every week now ... What to do to get rid of ...

Burning smell... what kind of burning smell, plastic, oil burning??? Do a visual check all over. Chain getting loose more often usually happen if the alignment is not proper. The indication marks on the adjuster need not always be accurate. Also, this happens often when the chain n sprocket are nearing the end of its service life. Depends on usage. I've had chains last 30k, and less than 8k.

Do check with the SVC whether it's really time to replace it.The Apache is ever willing to red line each cog, but the Rider ain't. Enjoy RTR, Safely. Period.

Can Anyone tell me the best chain sprocket available for RTR180. did 20000km on my odo. svc people said its time to change. whole set costs around Rs.1100. OEM is Rolon. That's good enough. Depends on the condition of your engine. On a healthy engine it lasts really long. Go by the manual unless you have any issuesOriginally posted by vivekgautams View PostI wanted to know the average life of a spark plug..

@sambit get your battery checked by a professional battery shop guy.. i had that problem n one of my cells inside battery had gone kaput...
@shanky442 dude i ride from hyd to blr often and trust me it is a very good bike for highways/long rides too... i'd say if u like the bike buy it and dont care a rats arse to others. its u who's gonna ride it not them! i cruse around 100 - 130~ usually. bikes been touring from almost 3 years now and i havent had any major probs...
